I can't wait until Zappe or Cunningham starts and just like last year we get excuses for why they stunk up the bed. Same with Stidham when he was here.

You just can't handle that Bill Belichick built the worst team in football, everyone with a pulse saw it coming. And there are no quick fixes or one player problems that can easily save this team.

Name a QB that makes the playoffs with this team?
I could name 15!

Mac is the worst QB. we've had since Scott Secules. He's that bad. You always underrate how bad he is.

I have no doubt that many of his teammates have given up on him as has been reported.

He is weak and afraid. He NEVER stands in there, never up into the pocket. We had wide open receivers today that he was absolutely afraid to throw to because he was too scared of a non-existent rush.

On the other side, Hoyer had pressure bearing down on him. And he stood in there. He showed guts. Bentley was right in his face. Unblocked. In there in 1 second. And Hoyer just stood in there without backpeddling, cowering, throwing off his back foot, and he found Mayer.

And Hoyer SUCKS. This is the minimum of what we should expect.

This a million times. Everyone outside a small subsect of Patriots fans realizes how bad this team is across the board.

It's insanely desperate to think this is one a player fix

I think the Bill bobos crowd just doesn't want to admit he built a garbage roster and this is at least another 3 season fix

Losing teams find ways to lose games, thats what we do. if parker caught that ball, mac would have thrown a pick or taken 2 bad sacks in a row. Or ryland misses the kick. You just always know this team is not going to pull it off at the end unless the defense can win it for us.

Honestly its the first time in 23 years ive been totally indifferent about a loss in October. At least this helps our draft position. And also a step closer to big changes.

Jets knock off the Eagles...Any given Sunday...the season is still young...strange things hppen...injuries happen...s**t happens

The Jets have a great defense. The Patriots don't. At least not without Judon and Gonzalez. The Jets defense single handily won the game today. The Pats don't have a defense that can do that.

Well, the truth always comes out eventually. BB sucks as a GM, excels as a DC, and is about average as a HC. Don’t expect Kraft to come to the rescue either. He’s a cheapskate and BB does roster construction just the way Krafty Bob likes it and empowers him. Cheaply. Brady covered all the sins of this team for 20 years by taking less and elevating mediocrity. We could have had 8-9 super bowls under TFB if they weren’t so damn cheap. No idea where this train wreck is heading but ownership is 100% complicit in this years “worst team in the NFL”.

People can blame Mac all they want (and he certainly isn't blameless), but no QB could make this offense good. There is no talent beyond maybe Bourne and Henry.
Remember 2005? We made AFCG with Caldwell as WR1. How about 2013? This teams has more talent on offense than both of those.

Mac had time today a lot. He panicked a lot. He had wide open guys and made bad decisions every time. OK, so there is pressure on you in the end zone (GET RID OF THE BALL!!!).
No he didn't. His interception happened because the line collapsed almost immediately. The one guy that was open on the game ending safety was doing a cross route before the sticks and would have got tackeled in bounds and killed the clock with no timeouts. Then the line broke down with 3 guys immediately on him so he couldn't throw it away as soon as the pressure was there. You can throw it away when you know pressure is coming, when you are going through your progressions and all of a sudden the line just breaks and three guys are on top of you, you can't. I can show you dozens of plays where that same scenario happens to elite QB in situations where the throw away is better than the sack and they take the sack.

Who wouldn't panick behind that trash offensive line. It's consistently ranked the worst in the league.

The best QB in the league was panicking like a madman in the Super Bowl a couple years ago when his line was breaking down the way ours does.

Please. You really think this is a one guy problem. It's nuts

God, this team has so many holes, all because BB has been ****y with his picks and trades. He thought he was a genius and thought he could do the same with Mac as he did with Brady…

Every team is looking forward playing the patriots to turn their seasons around.

Defense is fine, even with all the injuries, but the whole offense needs to be rebuild from scratch.
Like every single offensive lineman should be cut or traded. They were awful, they were offensive to watch. Literally a band-aid would do a better job at blocking.

I don’t even know who the patriots go after for a GM, but I hope Kraft is doing his research.

You can't start from absolutely nothing on Offense and have the situation "flipped quickly" unless one gets very lucky at QB.

OK, we're starting over. Some money needs to replace or re-sign Dugger, Uche and Jenning.
=======================
How can fill all the needs of Offense? Who are you keeping? Douglas? Rham? anyone else?
2 QB
4 WR
3 RB
3 TE
9 OL
Rome isnt built in one day, right?

If we are indeed starting over - and lets avoid coaching staff for discussion sake for a second- just start with your foundations, given how the game is played:

We need at ONE great Lineman. (Im really trying to not go on a rant on how keeping ****ING ANDREWS as a leader has set the bar low for YEARS).

and ONE. FRICKING. RECEIVER. Like, a real RECEIVER. A guy that can cover for a bad qb and make plays on his own on this pass-happy league.

Can we get at least this?

Saying he had a lot of time is Abit much. Is romo blind then when all I hear all game is how poor the OL blocking is?
The blocking was poor. Today was even worse than the last few games. But on plenty of plays, he had a lot of time.

Look, we have not very great WRs. But some of these guys were breaking open free quickly and he had plenty of time to find them. I know Thornton is brittle and he's a bad pick. The problem is, I don't even know if he's a good WR hen he's healthy, because I've seen him blow by CBs multiple times, and he is NEVER going to get the ball from Mac, not because the OL is bad (they gave Mac plenty of time the 2x I saw Thornton break free) but because Mac is either too scared or can't make the downfield throw

I agree .. The whole team is a problem. The QB isn’t very good regardless.
No he isn’t. I hate cringing at my QB when he’s lined up just hoping nothing bad happens but I can’t help it.

Wish we had a better option or any option with potential though.

The kid missed three throws in the second half, including one that could have been the game-winner had Parker not dropped it. I've softened my stance on Mac, but I'm also a realist - this offensive line is a massive, massive issue.
Ian let me ask you, put Mac Jones on the 49ers in place of BP, what's his ceiling/floor to you?

He missed three passes in the second half.

Three.

He missed just two in the fourth quarter. And it should have been only one, given that the one to Parker was a dime and might have given them a shot to potentially get in field goal range. But he dropped it.

I get you're upset, but today was the first positive we've seen from him in terms of him responding to adversity for most of the season in that second half.

You saw Cunningham get crushed when the line collapsed and also had no where to go. It's beyond ridiculous, Lowe and Brown let guys blow right past them.

You're putting way too much blame on Mac today. He wasn't their biggest problem. Not even close.

No he didn't. His interception happened because the line collapsed almost immediately. The one guy that was open on the game ending safety was doing a cross route before the sticks and would have got tackeled in bounds and killed the clock with no timeouts.
What are you even talking about???!!!

That happened right after the 2 minute break. There was 1:50 left on the clock.

I've never heard of a team unwilling to throw in the middle of the field when all they need is 65 yards in 1:50 seconds.

That's absurd.

We ain't winning another game not with the invincible VLowe @ RT.

I agree .. The whole team is a problem. The QB isn’t very good regardless.

He's not. I'm just tired of hearing this team is actually pretty good. And just being held back by one player by a certain group of fans

It's pretty clear watching the OL doesn't even block guys and our receivers are very mediocre.

The pick and some of his decision making was abysmal. But don't tell me guys letting DL run right by them and folding in a second or Parker dropping a pass that hit him in the hand is all Macs fault

That somehow replace him and these guys are putting up 30 points or something and blocking like a competent line

It's a poor roster from top to bottom

Sorry, Mac had his chance and I really don’t care if there were two crucial drops by Parker and whoever. This was a bad team that played another bad team and they lost as most expected. There is no way that the offensive line and qb that’s in place will ever compete on a playoff level.

That win against the Jets will haunt them !

i doubt they win another game, yet still might be picking 3 or higher!

obviously Mac had to go, they should try and trade h8m and anybody else for draft picks for the new GM and coach
