Still one game at a time for me
That was in a post reply regarding milt about his ankle.. as we know NFL players don't become healthier as the season goes along..

I was just reading the post on this thread about Dungy coming to watch practice Friday and then giving a pregame speech on Sunday.

I’m sure things like that just reinforce Vrabel and his message to the team.

Any bets that Mayo’s kumbaya totally lacked such substance?

I just think Mayo lacked credibility from the way he ran the team. I don't think they ever believed in him.

I won’t fault Henry for being tangled up with the DB with legal contact close to the line. He had to fight him off and get clear before he could think about trying to catch the ball.

Looked like Maye could’ve waited a tick or two longer before throwing. He wasn’t under duress. But with the clock winding down that would be an all or nothing roll of the dice, going for the TD by giving up any chance at the FG. He’s just lucky there was still one tick on the clock.

That highlights Vrabel waiting to run the clock a few more seconds before calling TO. That was so close to being a poor decision that would’ve forced OT. Pats were lucky many times last night, not just several times in the last twenty seconds.
Had Maye waited a second longer it would have ended the half. The clock was literally at 1 second lol I would have gone for the TD instead of settling for the FG but I get that they wanted to go into the half with a lead for morale if for nothing else.

Interesting, sounds like coleman might have some TUDE issues

They knew he was undisciplined when they drafted him. McDermott should have said he was disappointed in himself.

For the Gibbens pass interference penalty I’m trying to figure out what rules change when the QB runs outside the tackle box like Josh Allen did. Is defensive holding no longer illegal when that happens? But DPI doesn’t change evidently. I thought I remembered that something changes.

Having Dungy give a locker room address says a lot.

I doubt he does that a lot, nor for just any team. He watched them practice Friday, gave them a motivational presentation-game speech Sunday. That’s a strong endorsement!

I’m curious what his speaker’s fee for a corporate appearance would be.
Vrabel pulling a BB.

Smart thinking and outside the box. Gotta figure that Rodney had some involvement here since he and Dungy are so tight.

I don't mean this in a belittling way, but it's like those teachers who greet each student at the door. Shows respect, which then goes both way.
I don't think that was belittling at all. This is one of those small things that that endears the coach to the players and then add on top winning games and the players will be all in.

I certainly wasn't in that camp. In fact, I wasn't crazy about any of the top picks. But passing on the best LT prospect for Hunter or Carter would've been idiotic. Mayo having the Pats slide to 4 made the selection very easy as I'm sure they would've stayed up many nights on deciding who to pick. Campbell by far is the superior player at this point. It's really not even close.
Yeah, my wording was poor - "Winning" that final game last year [my son’s first Pat’s game - we have tickets for final game this year - We are stoked ] felt like a loss at the time, but actually may have been a blessing in disguise - Not sure we would have traded down for WC, and was sold on him from moment he said he’d "fight and die to protect <Drake>" … and he’s exceeded my high hopes for him ...
