I need a smarter man than me to superimpose Mayes face here…

I liked what I saw after the Dolphins game. The execution by the offense and the fight by the defense.

I saw more of that against the Steelers even though we lost because of the turnovers. The offense still executed and the defense fought.

It was reinforced even more against the Panthers.

And tonight they showed up against a SB contender and didn't back down. They answered every Buffalo drive with one of their own. That's a hallmark of a team with character.

My stars:

Diggs
Maye
Marcus Jones
Gonzalez
Barmore
All the WRs

These guys have things to prove:

Rham
Carlton Davis
Hawkins
Woodson (he's a rookie so he gets a pass)
Ellis
The coach who sent Schooler in
Westover (because he looked lost)
I might add Keion White to the l”things to prove” list. I *think* he played tonite……

Campbell-Wilson-Bradbury is more than good enough for the next several years. Right side needs some love in 2026 which is doable. Fix that, improve a bit at WR, and you are golden.

Campbell and Wilson should be good enough. MAYE covered for Bradbury in the passing game several times as Bradbury missed the late man or the one stunting because he turned to his left instead of looking right.

Hasty and the FB ?

But I’d rather they explore more options. Find your Jonas Gray.
Dikembe could help us out with that

Gibson update?

If it wasn't for the two 15 unsportsmanlike penalties, first one was bs block into Allen, 2nd was a wtf brain cramp, it wasn't that close. It felt close. Lot of game balls tonight and I'm thinking Josh might be staying in bed tomorrow.

Maye might have had the best game of his young career. He showed toughness today. That is what we needed from our offense tonight. The defense other than few terrible penalties was solid. Gonzo makes the secondary that much better.

Rhamondre still needs to go.
Great game of course, with many positives, but my take home message is: the Pats now seem to have one of the best QB situations in the NFL with Drake (youth, toughness, talent, rookie contract, performance under pressure, team player, non-diva, etc.). And that is the most valuable asset in the in NFL in these QB centric times. Hopefully some good times ahead! Man, what a great game!!!

Maye was clutch. Borregales was clutch. Diggs was a true WR1. The defense delivered. They slay the Bills in their own house during their “white out”.

What was it Allen’s fiancée said? “The Patriots are Josh Allen’s son”? Hmmm….
Bill's are Patriot's *****es. Steelers too, but they caught us early.

Remember the "Maye has too much on his plate" talk?
They might have actually put too much on his plate for Week 1. But there's an article by Andrew Callahan about that (which I'll post separately).

Lol he could have a disaster game the next few weeks
So far so good tho
Don’t care. I’ve seen what he is. Every qb has a bad game, that won’t change anything.
Are you paying attention??
