Unfortunately I wasn’t able to watch the game (missed Henderson’s TD - damnit!) so I’m having to delve into X and here for info.

So this shot of Kyle Williams, aka the best separator in the draft, getting open at the goal line makes me happy.

And Efton Chism baby! Come on Bradyn - you’ve got some work to do by the sounds of it.

Updated WR depth chart imo, which will remain dynamic.

Diggs
Pop
Boutte
KW
Hollins
Chism
Baker.

Can Chism maintain momentum and push for the 53?
Will it come down to him or Baker?
Will we carry 6?

Much TBD.
My one concern for Chism making the roster is ST and whether he makes a contribution. Who was handling punt returns last night? Could Marcus Jones be a surprise trade/cut? There was talk around combine time that Vrabel was looking for a bigger slot CB.

Chism was the PR I believe; maybe not real early or real late but most of the middle...

I knew that Washington was playing a lot of their starters, but their top 30 guys. That's all their offensive starters, all their defensive starters, and their 8 closest friends in case they get pissed that they have to play.

That sucks for any kind of player development. I guess its better than nothing, but it puts teams at disadvantages, I believe, they their potential opponents are getting better practice reps to train and evaluate their teams.

I guess once you get your generational wealth, TC really is for suckers and the only "battles" going on are those for guys looking to make the PS. ....AND get off my lawn.

I’d get used to that. Gonna be that way all season I’m afraid. Doesn’t matter that he’s already a massive upgrade over what we had. Unless he’s perfect people will constantly *****, post their trex gifs and continue to fantisize to every Josh Simmon’s highlight.

Are you talking about that drake dude? God that guy is the worse.

The dude across from him is competing for the 6th CB spot.

Stone can’t even have a good night after a week one preseason blowout. Gosh it must suck to be that miserable in life. Out here critiquing players like they blew it in the conference championship game. Sometimes I wonder if you even enjoy the game, or just watch it so you can complain about something.

Bye Polk. Go join ras ir dowling in the scrap heap.

Another horrible late 1st early 2nd pick.

The Will Campbell discourse is only getting worse, it seems. Felt like people were describing two different players simultaneously on the board tonight.

No matter what good plays he makes, the people who aren’t fans of his are finding anything they can find to freak out about.
I had to leave the GDT. It was ridiculous. Guys want to have him fail so they can be right.

Know they were backups, but Campbell’s pass blocking was solid. His one primary mistake looked like he got off balance on a late twist stunt by Wash. Campbell’s run Blocking was ….

When there's a failed stunt pickup, it's nearly always a communication/judgement issue. And knowing that he and WIlson are both rookies, there's nothing to worry about here.

As I've mentioned a few times here before, Campbell is still getting used to NFL speed. I'm pretty sure he knows by now that he has to speed up his ability to judge if he's getting rushed or getting picked, in which case he passes Martin off to WIlson and picks up Newton coming off the edge. The game will slow down for him at some point. People just need to give him time.

I’m guessing from the score only, we’re feeling pretty good about the return of Josh McDaniel’s offense.

What I like much more about this team is the return of attitude. This team has attitude. They are out there wanting to hurt people, wanting to talk ****, to dominate. That's what football is all about.

A far cry from what we had last season.

Campbell did fine but I’m concerned about rushers pushing into the middle of the pocket. He definitely needs to work on that. RBs all looked good. Don’t want to get too excited about offense. Pats were more intense from the start. No Washington regulars. Washington completing passes to easily. Hartman looked better than Maye. Didn’t see much interior rush, Pharms and a rookie I forgot. An improvement still a long ways to go. Chism and Larison did well. Jiles made some catches. Liked Woolridge. Swinson ineffective. Bryant held his own at tackle. Forgot to mention Williams. A very good deep ball receiver if someone can throw the ball. Henderson please stay healthy.
The god of football Giveth and Taketh away.

When your HC is at the bottom of a pile and comes out bloody, you had better be playing with attitude. You're spot on, there's 180 degree vibe shift on this team, whether it's attitude on the field or greater competence off it.

Still undefeated.

It sucks seeing a great preseason performance because you know it'll be tough for a team to live up to it in the regular season. Here's hoping this ages like fine milk because of the upcoming perfect season or something (though as we said back in the arrogant years, I'll settle for just a ring)
