Wilson is a JAG...how can you look at Mac and his season so far and look at Mommy's Boy and say he should have been the 2nd pick? Ludicrous. The return of Ryan Leaf Syndrome

I have watched most of every game of the rookie QB's this year. Trevor Lawrence is the only one I would choose over Mac. Mac has been better overall this season, but Lawrence will be elite. Whatever happens this season, I consider it a success because I am sure we are set at QB for the next decade plus.

Zach Wilson has the tools, but the Jete factor will kill his career. I will say that had Wilson fallen to the 49ers, I think he would be starting and looking good.

Fields looks awful. He has the athleticism, but he is not ready. I am not sure he ever will be. Could be a rich man's Dwayne Haskins. Hopefully for him, it's just that the Bears are inept.

And Trey Lance. I believe the rumors that the 49ers traded up to secure Mac. Then workouts and time played with their confidence, and their balls shriveled. Can we really take an un-dynamic QB at 3? Well, they went dynamic. He does not look like a QB. Neither did Lamar in his first year, so time will tell. Nobody expected him to play this year, so this is no surprise.

We will be back in Super Bowl contention with Mac Jones. The state of the Patriots is strong!

Ok, one of the negative Nancy's can pi$$ all over me now if they want.

I agree that I think Shanahan wanted Mac Jones. I think he was overruled. Jones is Shanahan's type of QB. I mean giving up three first rounders for a QB who looks to be a good year or two away from starting, seems very unlikely. Lance has the physical tools to be a great QB, but he is so far away from putting it all together to be a good QB. Lamar Jackson wasn't a great passer when he came into the league, but he was such a great athlete that he overcame his mediocre passing skills with his legs. Lance isn't that gifted. While Jackson could develop his passing skills while playing, Lance isn't gifted enough.

That sucks. So it could be anywhere from one to two weeks to season ending. I don't wish injuries on anyone even Jets players.

All I can say is hopefully this is a learning experience for Wilson and he learns to stand in the pocket more and try to make the easier plays when they are there and be more judicious when you roll out the pocket to extend plays for big strikes. Otherwise, he will not be long for this league.
IIRC, he got plummeted inside the pocket, after he threw the ball...

But this tackle actually made me think a lot on how the avoidance of concussive hits, specially on QB, has changed the game. If you check the replay, you can the that Judon tried to wrap him and bring down but trying fall before Wilson, to avoud a RtP. However, the speed of it all, made him fall over Zach's knees. It looked awful on video.

if he could go at full at QBs, Wilson would have taken the biggest hit of this career, maybe, but I dont think he would have injured his leg

Did we clean stuff up assuming it's the JETE, or did we clean stuff up?

Chargers will be a test.

I'm real excited they fixed the OLine for 1 week. Keep Onwenu at right tackle permanently until he retires in 12 years.

Ted Johnson being extremely critical of a defense that gave up 13 points... definitely grinding his Belichick axe here

Mills was bad. And it wasn't good their random backup Jets QB came in and threw 7 for 9 for 1 TD immediately.

But it was a blowout win and the Pats are 3-4. Not a lot of positive weeks anticipated with this mediocre staff so let's celebrate this week.

Johnson can't let it go. Probably blames BB for his two failed marriages and his insulting comments about Mrs Wilfork too.

Mac has made a lot of big throws the last two games compared to the first five. I’m a lot more encouraged now.
Me too. Time for the reins to come off.

By the way: We are masters of our own fate to win the division. I mean, it's 10 more games and all, but it doesn't hurt that we have our 2 Buffalo games still to come.

This is, of course, assuming that how we feel right now doesn't prove stoopit once we're playing good teams again.

Wilson's problem inside and outside the pocket is he is not a quick decision maker. Jones will get rid of the ball quickly to a safety valve if the pocket collapse. Wilson still looks to wait for the play to develop for the bigger play.

Sure Wilson's o-line sucks. But so has Jones' until today or maybe last week. Jones overcame that issue by making quick passes. Sure he got his a lot, but he also has seem to slowed down the blitzes on him too by being successful while under pressure. Teams know they can pin their ears back on Wilson because he won't make the quick safe play and will make stupid mistakes.

Very curious what exactly they'll do when Brown comes back... I have to wonder if he'll play LT.
im actually wondering if he will play... at all... for the rest of the season

Harris looked really explosive today. That should bode well for opponents scouting & game planning.
The OL was decent. Still some lapses, but seems Karras at LG, and Onwenu at RT might be permanent.
Hope Shaq's re-injuring abdomen doesn't set him back too long. And Wynn wasn't perfect, but wasn't horrible.

Pats play the Bills twice in 3 weeks in December. Later in the season is much better than earlier. If we’re going to steal one maybe that will work in our favor.

if we even look at it that way by December.

Or, they might be our moral victories by then, as we're eliminated or close.

Every day you see 1 more card...
