I don’t see the point in bringing up Brady when talking about Mac, Zappe, or anyone else. A different era, different teams, different players.

Zappe did well today but I don’t think we need to bring up Brady.
Because it's extremely relevant? Again I don't think you're reading my posts. Not comparing Zappe to Brady of today as a player, but comparing Zappe to Brady the QB who stepped in for Drew Bledsoe and managed to keep the team on the right path and play smart football. Obviously it's idiotic to say Zappe will go on to be who Brady became, but it's hard NOT to draw comparisons right now with Bledsoe/Brady and Jones/Zappe. Situations are just so similar, and the way Bledsoe/Jones played as starters getting hurt, and how Brady/Zappe played coming on in relief, are quite similar. Seems bizarre to deny those similarities. The question is whether Zappe holds up over further games, or even gets the chance.

Congratulations to Bailey Zappe, the wunderkind.
6 scoring drives
2 punts
1 Agholor FU
100 RTG
1 TD
0 Sacks
9 YDS/ Attempt.

Axel Hoyer can take a vacation. Or retire.

A little positivity on BB's drafting - this class looks pretty good so far.
1st - Strange has been so solid, that no one is talking about him - which for a OG, is a great thing.
2nd - Thornton is TBD, but they're playing him the week he got off IR - which is a far cry from our other rookie WR's. And I bet he'll get his shots as Agholor gets less reps due to his horrible ball security and Bourne for his mindless errors.
3rd - M. Jones is a quiet "we'll see".
4th - But J. Jones appears like a home run.
4th - Strong and (5th) Harris are longer term options, but Zappe already seems like a low round steal.
6th - Roberts, Hines & (7th) Stueber are PS guys for a year or two - but any could turn into something.
So, the top half of the draft seem like big time hits. A majority of this class could be here in 3 years, and 3 or 4 guys could become long time starters.

Teddy passed his concussion test but wasn't allowed back in the game because NFL is led by a reactionary bunch of imbeciles. The Tua thing was a bad look, so let's refuse to let a player back in when they pass all the tests. So did he have a concussion?

Losers in NY.
So did they hold him out because of his condition; or because of what team he could come in and play well AGAINST????

just a little @Joker GotoHell-conspiracy thought for you. Lol

I liked what Zappe did today and last week but it’s such a small sample size.
As they say “let’s not put him in the hall of fame yet”.

But if eventually gets into the hall, then it would be a damn good thing.

M Jones has already been a pretty good PR/KR, that’s worth something.

Roberts, Mitchell, and Hines all made the 53. And we traded for Carolina's 3rd round pick next year.

And I think I saw him on the field today - good for a rookie under Belichick.

Yes. He was out there for several series. Though, Myles Bryant was back in after the one play where Jones got pushed back 3 yards by Craig Reynolds to allow a 1st down.

The game against the Browns will be challenging one. Even though they lost today they looked really good.. Also Myles Garrett is a
Beast Who will put pressure on whoever plays quarterback next week. For this reason, I think it would be best to play Zappe and let Mac rest for another week. The Browns are a very good team and much better than the lions.

Playoff position not in the worst shape so far. Ravens and Bengals have to play one another later, one of them has to win. Assuming Chiefs beat the Raiders tomorrow, the only teams with a better record than NE currently are:

1. Bills 4-1
2. Chiefs 4-1 (assuming a win tomorrow)
3. Titans 3-2
4. Ravens 3-2 (assuming a win tonight)
5. Jets 3-2
6. Dolphins 3-2
7. Chargers 3-2
8. Colts 2-2-1

So still outside of a wild card spot, but not by a ton - in fact they're only 1 game behind the #3 seed. Several of the above teams play one another over the next few weeks as well, and the Pats play a few as well as some of their peers who are also 2-3 with them so they definitely have a pretty decent shot at getting back into a wild card spot if they keep playing well.
Not sure what you're looking at, the Pats are #13 seed, only above HOU, LV & PIT.

All you do on here is either complain or yell. Go outside for a walk
Just LEAVE ALREADY, PLEASE.
You don't care about the team one bit, and are pathetic at best.
Move along Please leave PatsFANS.

The Pats Defense is going to have their hands full with Nick Chubb, Amari Cooper, and Njoku. They'll need Jon Jones on Cooper, Dugger on Njoku and Phillips, Bentley, and Judon to be on their best game to handle Chubb.

The Pats Offensive line took Aiden Hutchinson out of the game. They will have to give a similar effort against Myles Garrett. The Browns have an excellent safety Johnson and a good corner in Denzel Ward. The Pats receivers aren't going to be going against a teams 3rd/4th stringers like they did against the Lions. The RB and TE will have to be wary of the Safety Blitz. Something that Johnson has tallied 2 QB hits already with.

The Patriots SUCKED, this was a PATHETIC Performance, they should be Embarrassed...fkn Bill and his nepotism bullsh!t have to go.
Give MASSIVE CONTRACTS, we don't need depth, just studs...EVERYWHERE...we can do that right?!
This was a great HOME win. Zappe, Rham, Meyers & the D were perfect. I had this as a win all along. These are the easy games we must win.

But let's be real, this was a game between two 1-3 teams that are now seeded #13 (Pats) and #15 (Lions). We need to win against a little tougher competition before we can claim the ship has turned. Good start though.

This team is good enough to win.

Solid QB play effects the defense. If Strong can't go give me some JJ Taylor.

I feel good. They opened up some great holes for the running game. Ground game is a huge feature but Detriot is the worst at stopping the run so we move on. Zappe is learning and did not miss alot this game. Played really smart. Team did not have dumb penalties and crushing drive stopping mistakes which means they are getting smarter. I like a smarter team so far. Our record shows where we are at. Lets see Zappe on the road. I was wrong on Wynn, he has had a come to Jesus moment.

Ban this guy. Too negative.

Pretty sure the Bourne and Wynn penalties were dumb ones. The Patriots were able to over-come them this week.
