Some of these thoughts are very stray indeed. Judon has been a bright spot. Harris didn’t lose the ball because his team wasn’t pushing him from behind. That’s not one reason at all. He lost the ball because he wasn’t fully covered and the defender made a great play in getting his hands in and yanking it out. I do agree about Berrios.. he has definitely carved a nice role for himself after everyone had written him off.A couple stray thoughts:
Judon doesn’t quite get the BB defense yet. For all his preseason splash, the ONE play I outright noticed him this game in real season: was when he had perfect position with outside contain on Zach Wilson and he proceeds to run straight ahead with no angle and loses contain -instead of sack or no gain, 1st down. …. Yuck
Defensive tackling seemed atrocious. Stat line says 152 yards rushing and ALL FOUR runners (incl Wilson) had a 10+ yard rush. ….Yuck
Jones threw another one in the dirt he should have just hook slid and lived to throw another day. Last week live ball, this week an int. ground penalty . BUT. … If this is the worst freshman flops that we get this season we can certainly live with it. compared to 4 Int outings. LOL
Berrios seemed like 60% of the Jete offense. Former Patriot that we couldn’t keep around. Can’t remember who we kept instead, but truly sad he landed with THEM. Yuck.
on the Harris TD run, I wanted to point out last week that one reason he lost the ball was he was all alone with 6-7 defenders on him holding him up as they tore at the ball. Nobody ran forward to help. This week 4 guys up there pushing the pile… I would call that good coaching.
I'm never curious what that talking potato sack has to sayMost tackles in the game today. Where was everyone else. Ill be curious what bedard has to say
Never seen a LB avoid contact like Gary Guyton did. One preseason game he actually did a Tony Eason, i.e. look for a safe place to fall down to avoid contact. Fast as hell but had the worst bench-press in his combine.Wow... Monty beisel? Why don't you go gary guyton
I definitely don't like a lot of salt on my food, but it's not as simple as that.Winning by 19 on the road with a rookie QB is not good enough it seems. Wow!
I remember I had a Pats calendar for, i wanna say the 2011 season. Each month was a new player, and they featured Guyton one month. Hard to believe he was one of the 12 players deserving of a month.Never seen a LB avoid contact like Gary Guyton did. One preseason game he actually did a Tony Eason, i.e. look for a safe place to fall down to avoid contact. Fast as hell but had the worst bench-press in his combine.
I take these with a grain of salt, but they're interesting, nonetheless (just on targets - source NextGenStats).

A couple of post game thoughts:
1.) any win is a good win in the nfl!
2.) why all the noise about down field throws. The offensive line played poorly and Jones did the right thing and took what the defense gave him.
3.) the new expensive weapons we got Jones in the offseason are not that great and struggling to run the right routes snd get separation!
4.) our run defense is unacceptable. Guy is just about cooked. Godchaux plays too high. Hightower looks terrible.
5.) we have to run the ball better to have any chance of winning as the season goes on.
I only wish the tampa game was later in the season. Mac had more time under his belt and Gilmore was back. They are probably going to clean our clock, unless BB has some Brady juju cooked up we don't know about.I definitely don't like a lot of salt on my food, but it's not as simple as that.
The other QB threw it to us four times, at best one of those were contested, three were not, and there was a fifth INT there for the taking but our own player prevented another from making the play. Oh and they gave us a fumble as well.
Their OL and their DBs are two of the weakest position groups in the NFL and we really didn't take advantage of them till after the game was a blowout and they became demoralized.
The only good news besides winning a game the other team handed to us is that we do tend to use the early games as extended training camp so there's hope we'll improve as the season progresses.
NO should be a good test of where we are, Tampa is pretty dubious at this point. BUF did what we could not do, put a solid hit on Tua, knocked him out and went on to a blowout.
I'd say we're on track for a wild card at best, hoping for more is mis-managing expectations, IMO.
I would rather die defending the wall then faint in the face of fear. I can’t think of any players that are more different then Grogan and Eason.Never seen a LB avoid contact like Gary Guyton did. One preseason game he actually did a Tony Eason, i.e. look for a safe place to fall down to avoid contact. Fast as hell but had the worst bench-press in his combine.

The irony of you calling anyone a one trick pony is mind boggling. This team, with 2 great tight ends, would benefit from playing 2 tight ends at the line of scrimmage 75% of all offensive snaps. Instead of repeatedly going to crappy one trick pony shotgun, over and over, when you know your right tackle sucks.
