Monty Beisel also had a lot of tackles and sucked as a player. Bentley did not have a good game. He's one of those stat padder players who is a major weak link on this defense.

Usually Bentley is suspect; especially when Hightower is out. However, today I thought he played well considering. He had 8 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 PD & almost came away with a fumble recovery.

Bentley is better when he plays downhill shooting gaps. When he has to read and react, he's slow to read where he has to fill.

That's not who he could become, that's who he might resemble 2 games into his career.

Yeah, I've been one of the biggest Wynn fans since we drafted him, but it's hard not to feel like he regressed this year. Maybe it's just a bad stretch. Gilmore has had longer cold streaks than 2 games and we still love him.

The best OLine lineup is:
Trent - Wynn - Andrews - Mason - Onwenu.

Trent is a massive LT who is an elite pass blocker not a great run blocker. Onwenu is a top10 RT.

Through 2 games this OLine has not impressed. Switch it up to this optimized OLine.

That's not a good argument. Same as asking why NKeal Harry played so much the last couple years despite sucking. Gary Guyton and Monty Beisel also used to play a lot. Just go watch a replay of the game and watch #8 Bentley. He is TERRIBLE.

The 49ers have a ridiculous record when Jimmy G is healthy. He’s a good QB. I think he’s way ahead of Jimmy G as an NFL rookie QB. He is a better prospect. Might be a better QB. But Jimmy G is pretty good.

Mac did enough. Receivers let him down a couple times when he tried to stretch the field. I liked his attitude and like that he wasn't happy with this performance even though it was good enough. I like it when my quarterback makes it clear that good enough is not good enough.
