Ty Law said Maye should've thrown the ball to the corner of the end zone. CB would've been out of position to make a play. One of the radio guys fought him on it which was funny.

I have no problem admitting I am wrong if I am.
The play called for Maye to throw the pass he did and it was open.
You don’t teach QBs to not throw on time but wait to loft the ball and hope the receiver alters his route by having esp that a dl could knock it down.

If the play was designed as a corner route, it would have worked better in hindsight, but it wasn’t.

Look at where Echols is when that ball has left Maye’s hand. He is a much better position to intercept the pass IF IT WASNT TIPPED.

I personally never felt Vrabel's been out coached by any stretch. Whenever a team commits 5 TOs your likelihood of winning is 0.00000001 percent.

You can see clear as day a touch pass over Echols was wide open.
Chris Simms (a guy who played QB in the NFL) said it was the wrong throw.
Ty Law, you know, HOF CB said it was the wrong throw.
Despite all of that, some poster refuses to be objective and continues to say it was the right throw and it was open. Both which are patently false.

“It shouldn’t have been a flat one,” Vrabel said. “Obviously, just having an idea of where that guy is and being able to put some air under it. Those are things we have to be able to see and get the spacing that we need and be able to keep it out of harm’s way.”

No it’s not clear, he got into position because the ball was slowed down by the tip.
What is clear is that he had a lane and the velocity of the throw would have made it an easy TD.

Again if the play was designed to throw to the corner, it would have been more effective, but a qb runs the play that’s called and that call was for him to make the throw he did.

I would have to go look at the play again, but what fans don't seem to realize is that they are looking at replays and still photos and passing judgement, when Maye has about 2 seconds to make the decision.

As far as Andy goes I can not recall any time that he has admitted that he was wrong. Like signbabybill in the megathread he will just insist he's right, repeatedly change the narrative, and keep doubling down to infinity.

I think they take reps away or he does not start
But if you bench everyone but Maye for putting the ball on the ground
Then your message is muddled and resentment could follow
You can’t put any one player above the TEAM concept they are trying to convey as the Image of the team

I think it's a completely different situation Busta. The QB handles the ball on every snap, and they will have turnovers. If they throw 3-4 picks I could see them getting benched for the rest of the day, but benching them for entire games is akin to giving that game away.
