That was such a horrible PC by Bill. He does not care to be accountable to the fans. At least pretend to say sorry my bad.

It could easily be argued that Mac Jones is the worst quarterback in the NFL… The only one who’s worse than him probably is Zach

He isn’t the worst. He has played that way the last two weeks. His confidence is shot and he imploded rather than rose to the occasion. And that is on him. But he is a better QB than he played the last two games.

for the time being?

We have a top 10 defense with Judon and Gonzalez coming back next year. Sure, we have the normal number of FA's to replace: Dugger, Oche, and Jennings.
I hedged not because of the talent but my failing faith in the management.

That's a strawman argument. You could also say that Patrick Mahomes couldn't save this team right now.

That still doesn't make Mac Jones a franchise QB. He's a joke and we need to look for a new QB1 and look to overhaul this entire offense. Obviously that includes rebuilding the OL and looking for playmakers on offense as well. I've never said that getting a single piece will 'fix' this offense. But a real QB1 is where you have to start. But getting that alone is not how you finish a rebuild.
Because it doesn't matter at this point. There's no point in debating a guy who probably is going to be replaced next year. Zappe clearly isn't a better option. There's no QB on the market that is changing this outcome, and we really shouldn't be in the business of trading right now to get a QB we probably don't want next year who won't make a difference anyways.

For better or worse, Mac is the best QB on the roster this year. And he's far from the only problem. He's not even the worst problem on the offense. His passing game is better than running game, the offensive line is likely the worst unit in the league. There's a lot of "worst in the league" superlatives to go around on the offense right now. He threw two picks today. One was when he was getting sacked and one was not remotely his fault. He made other bad plays, but when he makes good plays they don't matter because the WR's sucl anyways.

There's nothing productive at this point in screaming about Mac. Zappe came in and didn't do any better. I don't think he even got a first down and his overthrows were probably worse than anything Mac threw today.

The ****ty thing is, Belichick probably ruined Mac by building a horrible offense and getting Patricia last year and giving him a worse offense this year. Getting rid of Mac isn't changing the core problems right now. You'll just ruin another QB. He's a symptom, not the problem. So I don't even get why we need this debate every week. Maybe it would be worth it if some really good QB was on the bench and we weren't putting ourselves in the best position, but like a lot of spots on the roster, he's just the best we got. He's just not all that good.

He has lost the locker room ... that is the abyss for a coach.
I don’t think Bill has had the locker room since Tom left… I think they have tolerated him, but after watching the sham Newton show… And the absolutely abysmal decision-making he has done the past few years… He needs to be fired tomorrow

hate to tell everyone, there's no fixing this.
Sure there is. They went 1-15 and 2-14 in a 3 year time period before, and then had a pretty good 25 year run. If you’re looking to fix things this season, yeah, something really needs to change with the players and coaching and it’s extremely unlikely at this point. But in the NFL you always just a QB away. We had 1 really good one, and another that was the best. Just need to keep turning the page until we find another good one.

Was BB chewing on a Worthers Oringinal during his press conference?
He was chewing on this tongue because he knew there was no answer he could make that could explain away such an embarrassing loss!

Same old cryptic Bill answers. Try to give the media as little as possible. Everything will be decided behind closed doors. But the sad part is that it looks like Bill is out of solutions.

So Bill's press conference boiled down to... "Gotta do better, gonna start over, lots of problems, we'll work on it this week."
Same ****, different week.

We're gonna hear this same canned response for the rest of the season.

Patriots right now have the 13th worst PPG average in the Super Bowl era,

And they’re getting worse

I said they hadn’t put Jones in position to succeed. That I would stand by even after the last two weeks. But he completely fell apart and that is unforgivable even with the crappy o-line and receivers cannot get open. Even with nothing around him, Mac should play to a certain level. But he completely imploded instead.

And as for Belichick, he clearly has declined in recent years.

Others saw that long before you did…like, last year.

It’s fine that it took you longer but give credit to those who arrived at the truth earlier.

I personally am on record as having concerns with Mac after he left a game vs Balt CRYING over an ankle sprain.

BB…I was concerned the moment he made Matt P the OC.

Writing has been on the wall for a long time.

Now…did I think it would get THIS ugly?

No, I did not.

55 points in 5 games lmao

But it’s really 53 (minus safety) minus 28 points given directly on opponent defensive touchdowns.

25 points in 5 games

And they can improve as much as they want but you can only do so much with what you have on the field.

If they had a flawless performance today they still lose by double digits

After seeing Zac Wilson last week against KC I'm looking at him different. Mac's probably as bad as he his right now. I wish I wasn't right.. go figure look at his Alabama teammates :
Hurts superbowl appearance
Tua league leading offense and top in the division. Honestly it's probably best to trade Mac now and see what will Grier can do.

Nah, not hating....just that I was told here this summer during the joint practices that the Pats were just the bestest team ever and other assorted BS.

You can admit the narrative is different here now than it was in August. It's ok, it happens.
Shuuuuut the **** up. Link it or get out

Sons of Billy Sullivan are back.

Pathetic
