Yes but nobody was able to get separation. How many completions did he miss to wide open wrs?
In all fairness did you have a split screen to see every receiver in every play, or are you just going by what "you heard"
There is always an open guy...

I'm not worried about the offense as much as I am the defense. 42 points, 400 yards passing to a garbage QB. Big plays, weak pressure, poor tackling. Is it coaching or is our D especially front 7 not talented enough?

Look at the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 nfl drafts

How many impact D starters do we have on NE from those drafts?

Hightower
Flowers
Harmon- good backup
Butler- went undrafted
?????? Maybe Wise

The D is very devoid of star talent in the front 7

Ryan walked, Easley released, Collins traded, Jones traded, brown has played like a JAG so far in his career, Richards tavon bequette and Grissom busts, cyrus injured, rivers injured, valentine injured.

They kept Jimmy for a reason. Belichick saw brady lose zip on his balls in the super bowl. Here's something to ponder. BB knows Brady's arm strength isn't there so he makes the offense more veritcal therefore exposing Brady so that Jimmy can get in sooner. BB always said he wants to win with another QB. I don't know, something to think about.

Brady threw a 60 air yard pass to Cooks. What are you talking about. He can still throw harder than most QB's in the league.

If he plays like that next week than we can start talking. This team needs to play well on both sides of the football.

I wouldn't underestimate KC so early. They did for us in 2009, let's wait and watch. I think there WR core is damn good and at RB.
Drew Brees>>>Alex Smith. Their WRs were OK - Gilmore/McCourty blew the coverage on Hill and the other bomb was to a RB. Smith is limited in what he does - helped tonight by being able to run effectively on first down.

The offense should be able to make up for a lot of that...and after tonight. Don't think it's gonna change. 3 receiving backs yet no wrinkles or formations incorporating them.

I've followed the team for over 30 years.

Yet you've apparently either learned absolutely nothing or chosen tonight to go full troll. Neither is a good thing.

Quit posting like a silly old woman.

Brown really needs to step up his play. Our run defense was very good last year and tonight not so much. This defense will be better than the crap we saw tonight. I am expecting a big bounce back next week against the saints

I'm seeing something tonight, I've NEVER seen before. Ignorance is bliss though. Carry on.

Wasn't just that. He looked scared at times and did miss some passes that might of been the difference. Not to mention he got a penalty that potentially cost us a TD.

I think if Brady played like Brady tonight, we win.

Well his OC didn't help much with some running plays in the red zone.

Watching our front 7 tonight...Flowers Branch and Hightower are the only three players who can make plays. Everyone else is JAG level. And those three while good, aren't that good. Not one star in our front 7. Malcolm Brown looked dreadful, van noy was a step late to every play and missed tackles all night, Harris looks like he can't outran a fat man, Roberts can't cover my grandmother, Richards gets to every play 3 steps too late cause of his speed, guy and marsh are high effort but very limited athletically. The secondary is fine.

I agree. This loss isn't solely on him. Defense sucked, coaching was off and people like Gronk didn't look like Gronk. I just think our GOAT wins a nail biter today.

Looked scared?? Going full ******? KC's pressure was not the issue - he had plenty of time. No one was open on a slew of plays. Cooks beat some doubles, but many times was covered. Peters was in Hogan's jock all night.

Can you not reply to me without calling me a ******? Settle down. That's the problem. Brady wasn't pressured, but acted like he was playing Denver at mile high

Perspective from new fan

SB51 was the first football game I ever watched. An earth-shattering experience that (sort of) changed my life. This was the first regular season game I ever watched (live).

Not sure how I’m going to sleep tonight. I’ve taken to falling asleep to some football podcast, but I can’t bear to listen to any of them now. I will probably be avoiding any non-patriot podcast for a while.

I try to think of that Chiefs game in 2014 and the opening game in 2003. I find that it’s so easy to marvel at great stories in history, but when you are living it, the darkness seems so heavy and lasting. It feels like an audacity of hope, to dare to believe such greatness will happen upon me as well.

Anyway, the season is long. I guess tomorrow is a new chapter for me in experiencing the ups and downs of football fandom. Very silly to talk like it’s all about me, but I guess that’s what it feels like to be a fan?
