I will

i need to finish the evaluations,
Obviously a strong arm is great but that’s not everything that makes a signal caller.

My friend Kevin and I we break down factors such as what does the QB do with his eyes when he’s in the pocket how’s their internal clock when the defense is closing in.
What are they seeing pre snap? How do they adjust when the defense shifts last second.
Can they manipulate the backers and safeties,
Are they too aggressive?
Are they playing smart with a lead?
Are they making the receivers better?
Is the completion percentage telling the whole story?
When they turn the ball over is the blame purely on their shoulders?
How do their team mates view them?
How do they carry themselves off the field.
Have they done played injured?
Can they change the way the ball is delivered, put it on a rope when needed or lob it gently when that’s the best change for success.
How do they react when they get drilled?
Have they overcome off field and or on field adversity.

I look at every position under a microscope but the Quarterback position being the most important is the one we put the most time into.

Based on what I’ve seen unless Mac drastically improves next season which isn’t saying much he’s not the guy.

Do I think an offensive minded head coach or a real QB Whisperer can fix all his issues?
I believe they can fix some of them but not enough for him to be a true franchise QB. He is a stop gap til you find your guy.
If you're a great stats guy please tell me what the offense(td and fgs) is averaging pts per game. Only the offense. Take out the defense and special teams scores(punts returns)

There's no question that Mac has been sped up. He's leaving the pocked a full beat early at too many times. On the other hand, watching that line is like watching the Bucs' line (and several others this season), in that there is just nothing that a QB can do because the defenses are getting pressure way too quickly to give the QB any chance to even make post-snap reads.

This team should never have ditched the FB. This team should never have wasted the money on a RT who has underachieved and has played as if he wanted to be anywhere but in New England. This team should never have moved away from an offense that was so Mac-friendly. This team should never have put Patricia as the O.C. or Judge as the QB coach. This team should never have traded Mason away. And this team should never have lessened Bourne's role. Those things combined to pretty much guarantee that this season was going to produce a crappy offense.

With luck, and with much more intelligent front office decision-making, next year will be a better one.
Yep, while he is way too sped up, I can't really fault him for it with how this year has gone. The Wynn extension was absolutely a head scratcher. I didn't take huge issue with the Mason trade at the time, but it looks like a mistake in retrospect. Certainly reducing Bourne's role after he was arguably their most dynamic player last year is confounding.

I am wondering if perhaps Bill specifically wanted O'Brien as his next OC, but O'Brien could not come until 2023 so Bill needed a stopgap. He felt Patricia, Judge and himself could manage things for a season and then they could bring in O'Brien to build things up further the year after. Obviously it didn't go well and he underestimated the complexity of the job and the capabilities of Patricia and Judge, but he wasn't going to go bring in someone else when he already has plans in place for an OC in '23, so he rode it out.

I think he will definitely approach things with a more careful mindset this offseason in all regards. Another season that looks like this will probably not be acceptable to Kraft. I feel that Groh and team did a good job last year so hopefully they can continue that trend.

After an atrocious first half the honour was saved but , again, at the end a crucial mistake
We could have been easily 9-6 instead we are pratically out
But let s admit...good teams win this game and simply we are not good enough
We are average...
7-8 record shows it...
Buon Natale
Here is allready near midnight

So if the Pats make a good play the opponent did something bad. The pats make a bad play that let's be real should have been called dead the opponent made a good play?

I smell hater
It's just that the plays were not all made by the Pats. Some were flukey mistakes.

Because you called every play the pats made luck and ignoring that rham should have been down. And ignoring Judon made the play on Chase. Again if the pats make a good play it was the opponents mistake the pats make a bad play the opponents were good then
It. Was. A. Fumble.

BB is not replacing Jones no matter what. He cannot afford the media firestorm that would ensue.

Next season, regardless of training camp, Jones will be the starter again.

You are so full of harebrained crap. Hey, have you done your chores yet today?

Maybe it's all the darn Christmas movies, but if Dolphins lose tomorrow night, and Pats win the next 2 games, the Pats are in the playoffs (from the ESPN machine)?

These last 2 games feel like a microcosm of the entire season. There's still hope, but I don't know if my 'nads can take all the hits.

It's been this kind of season...Could have won this game as well.

I'm proud of the way we fought back!!! We showed a lot of gut and resiliency. Very proud of them!!!

Merry Christmas to all!!!!

Let's discuss!!!!!!!
Yeah a moral victory we've had our share this year. But, they showed resilience, in the end it was us doing self inflicting things as we've done all season.

I must imagine it's going to be alot of back ups to the back ups playing next few games.. we'll be back stronger and better next season! Merry Christmas

That's funny .. media firestorm from a QB that is a consistent slow starter and unclutch? Isn't that opposite of the bb we've known who released milloy? Benched Seymour, benched welker for a playoff game, benched Malcolm Butler for the sb. He's not going to bench Jones because if the media firestorm on a a QB that looks to be a career backup.

inexcusable to come out at home and get completely rolled on both sides of the ball.forat half. so disappointing. playoffs on the line and they lay an egg....yippee they had a comeback and blew it

Yeah that is correct. Not likely though.

However, let's say Miami does lose tomorrow. I can see a situation where NE beats Miami next week, Buffalo beats Cincinnati next week and KC loses to Denver (Denver was playing well against them last time and nearly won). If that happened, Buffalo could rest their starters in the final game and still keep the #1 seed, allowing an NE win. Stranger things have happened!

But again. Definitely not likely.

I think BOB was his choice for OC all along, just like in 2009 when McD left. And since he couldn't get BOB until 2023, like you said, Patricia was just an interim OC. Seriously, Judge should be moved to special teams and Patricia moved to Siberia.
