This is a reason I am encouraged. Buffalo plays the stacked receivers a lot. not a lot of teams do and it’s a huge communication, recognition and being on the same page issue. This will be a huge focus in this weeks game plan and I am confident it will be fixed
We had the same issue in Gilmores first few games here and people were incorrectly blaming Gilmore because instead of looking at film, take the lazy way, blame the new guy. And it was fixed. Bryant was the main culprit and I imagine this was one of the first games he has played against a team trying to stress man d with stacks.
Well, the fact they have only ruled Wynn out is a positive sign for the rest of the starters. I can live with Wynn being out if Dugger, Barmore, and Collins all play and are at least somewhat effective. Only like a half an hour to activate Mills off of the COVID list. I think it may be doubtful he is getting off before the game.

Also Barmore and Collins are rotational/situational players/positions so their workload is significantly lower / easier to manage even if banged up..
but once you consider that harry is no more athletic than jonnu, it doesn't really change the equation too much. it would be different if the defense had to commit to putting a true cover corner on nkeal with a safety shading over the top.

It’s true, but not as a threat at wr. Last game they really left him out there against one db with no help and crowded the box and short middle. And it’s especially problematic because we use Nkeal in these 21, 22 personnel packages where he’s the only receiver or one of only two receivers. So when we need to throw, we have limited options and it really hurts when he doesn’t get open.

Personnel sure. If we ran 22 personnel and had jonnu split out, they match bring a LB or SS there with him as opposed to a corner for nkeal. But alignment is affected by Harry’s lack of ability. Whenever an injury travel it is a positive sign of them playing. It isn't a guarantee, but it means they have realistic shot at playing. Doesn't guarantee it, but if there was next to no chance of playing they would have ruled them out.

Yeah I don’t think the advantage of having Harry blocking a corner vs jonnu blocking a ss or lb is worth the downgrade in terms of passing game struggles and defensive pressure that comes as a result…
Although really to me it’s just that we should a receiver with some actual passing game talent in that spot (Bourne, Agholor, jakobi)
