This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.
At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.
Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.
This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.
If you do you will have your account suspended.
I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.
I don't know if it does. From what I can see, the extreme cold affects deep ball passing more than short passing. So the more efficient short ball passer may have the advantage in this game.
From the Sports Science clip I posted earlier in this thread, the extreme cold affects reaction time quite a bit (they said 45% after ten minutes in 10% weather) so if you can hit a receiver quickly after the snap, the defensive players may not be able to react quick enough to make plays on the ball. With longer passes, the defenders have more time to react and the slowed reaction time is minimized.
And the cold makes the air thicker which makes it harder to throw down the field with the drag coeficiency.

Thanks, but I would never go to a game in Buffalo as a Patriots fan even if it was 75 degrees and sunny. Those fans are insane and many of them are really violent.
I hope Collins can get a practice in tomorrow and be good to go, because we need as much athleticism as we can get (even if he's no where near where he used to be). But Dugger is the jewel. He makes a HUGE difference in this game, allowing them to play nickel/dime without completely abandoning the run D, and offering one of the few open field tacklers that can keep up with Allen.

Players who practice even on a limited basis are likely to play. How well is a different story. I think players who do not practice are unlikely to contribute. I do not recall an ankle injury for Collins so hopefully it isn’t major and this is helping a little healing. As of today, Collins, Wynn and Mills would be out and Duggar and Barmore would play. Maybe tomorrow brings better news.

The more I look at how the extreme cold has affected the passing game in the past, I feel better about the Pats' chances. I think the frigid weather may hinder Allen more than the wind did a month ago. If Allen is grounded, the Pats get the edge because they have the superior running game.
Pats need to win the turnover battle and to get a St or defensive score....barring an all time playoff defensive performance holding buffalo to 10 points, pretty sure the pats will have a tough time winning if they don't subscribe to my prescription
Dugger (alongside JC) is a player Pats cant afford to lose in this game.
They might actually start Herron at LT and leave Onwenu for jumbo formations and LG rotation. Although Mount Brown did issue a certain smile when asked about LT..

That would have me really concerned. The times we looked worst this year were when we had Herron and others at tackle. We know Onwenu is a very strong tackle. Our OL really stabilized for a while.
Huh, I don’t know… it’s the first time we’ve been playoff dogs since 2018 @ kc, but we really aren’t THAT big of underdogs. The bills are rightfully favored, but it’s not like it’s a 10 point spread.

I think we all want Brown at LT and Ownenu at RT but it's important to consider TB hasn't played a snap at LT all year. TC, preseason or in the reg season. It's unreasonable expectations for a player to jump right in and play an entire game in 0 degree weather a position they haven't played in over a year.
Herron seems to have improved a little. He was rough early in the year.

He did well last week afaics (Herron that is) but run game will suffer a bit wo Wynn one way or the other.
I liked the use of Onwenu this year as jumbo/rotational weapon (+ keeping him healthy to just slide in with no loss in case ANY starter goes down - being able to play at least 3 positions well).
