Is it me or does anyone get a sense the Pats are not really interested in the free agent crop out there? Aside from Welker, Amendola and Cribbs the team has not been mentioned in any media as interested in certain players. In an age of social media and greater transparency in discussions you would think you would have heard more on who they were targeting.
Delmas visting the 49ers , Texans have reached out to Woodson and now with the Colts signing Landry who knows maybe Pats might end up being in on Reed
They better be talking to some people. Have too much cap space not to get some impact players. Just gotta have cash next season to extend Dmac and Spikes.
$5M a year on the dot for Cox, $20M/4yrs. That seems to be the market. I don't see any reason the Pats can't get two of Talib, Asomugha, Lewis, etc at that price.
Kinda hoping for Cason and/or Lewis, personally..

If they wait, then that's exactly what will happen. My guess is that we'll see four or five CBs all sign for $4-6M a year over the next 48 hours.i have this weird feeling they will wait a week to get a CB and all the decent ones will be gone. Seems like this year their plan is...well...crazy

do you think the pats will sign any of those players?
So pats have what...19 M now after amendola signing? 3-4 mill for rookies so say 15 mill left. 2 Cbs for 5-6 mill each is another 12 mill leaving around 3-5 M give or take..correct? Plus they need a S

Well, Denver just signed DRC to a one year deal, so that's one more off the list.
You may be confusing the 6 million average per year with actual cap hit. It will all depend on how the deal is set up. Just for comparison's sake, Hartline signed for 6 million aav too, but his 2013 cap hit is less than 2 million dollars.
