Half Time thoughts

1. The results were as good as we could expect.

2. Jacoby is doing a great job, Josh is doing even a better one

3. Jacoby is NOT going to make anyone forget TB or even JG. But if he came out and did better with his throws I bet the league would closed this year up.

4. Losing Gronk again is about the worst thing about today's game so far.

5. The defense has been playing GREAT, but we've seen this firxt half before. Now we need to see a 2nd half. Ideally if they can hold Texans to 10-14 points we will win this game

6. Don't judge LGB from on his first half Judge hjim on the 2nd. BTW- I wouldn't hate it if they threw a pass to him. I know the Texans would expect it

What do you mean "losing Gronk"?

I didn't see him gimp, thought they were managing his reps.

A rookie qb starts his first game against an excellent defense and is up 10 points, and bb decides to play it safe. (Which he has done in this situation with brady) and people are complaining....its a new LOW for the game day thread

By the way for everybody who wanted to go down the field w/Brissett at end of the half... Brady, Jimmy G, those are guys that do 50 or 60 yards in a minute on the clock.

Brissett got 59 passing yards on the half.

Hey guys, checking in during halftime............

The first half has been entertaining in my eyes for a team being lead by a 3rd sting QB.

Trust me, I love being up 10-0 but I hate hate hate the decision to sit on the ball (at the what, 35?) at the end of hte half with a full minute (and 3 time outs left). Sends the wrong message.

We had 3 timeouts and the best kicker in the league. I understand that a first year guy being asked to run the two minute drill would be prone to making mistakes, but needing 25/30 yards with 3 timeouts (and thus having the whole field to work with) had a good chance of ending in points. Now we'll never know.

This is classic over analytical . I have an advanced degree too. **** Houston!

I guess he saw the shot of Gronk on the sideline with the cooling bag over his hamstring. But he was out playing right afterwards.. looks like they are just managing him nothing more..

we have had one drive where we reached their redzone otherwise not much. I expect houston to get really aggressive now on both offense and defense. They have nothing to lose. Our D better not turn into the 2nd half D vs miami.

Well that's a good explanation. With all this "strange playcalling" it's remarkable the NE defense has held them to zero points even without the pass rush you "wish they had".

I'm concerned for the second half because we haven't shown that we can score without a special teams gift. And this D is going to get tired.

I hope the offense still has some tricks ups it's sleeve.
