He's doing a great job for being thrown in there cold turkey in his rook year!!! He's raw and needs several years in system to get things flowing right and hopefully become top tier QB.....but overall he's doing great
The saviors of the young QBs so far have been Bennett and Amendola in some order, even ahead of Edelman (the first few receptions of the season notwithstanding) and of course ahead of Gronk.
BB is, by far, the most, bestest, awesomest, goodest, sweetest coach to ever walk on the tainted, faux field in history. DAMN!!!!!. I really made a good choice when my family chose me to be a Pats fan.
2. Jacoby is doing a great job, Josh is doing even a better one
3. Jacoby is NOT going to make anyone forget TB or even JG. But if he came out and did better with his throws I bet the league would closed this year up.
4. Losing Gronk again is about the worst thing about today's game so far.
5. The defense has been playing GREAT, but we've seen this firxt half before. Now we need to see a 2nd half. Ideally if they can hold Texans to 10-14 points we will win this game
6. Don't judge LGB from on his first half Judge hjim on the 2nd. BTW- I wouldn't hate it if they threw a pass to him. I know the Texans would expect it
I am not surprised that bill got conservative before the first half. Even when brady was the qb lately he has a habit of getting conservative before the half.
Pats need a strong effort coming up in 2nd half. D must remain sharp and ready to take advantage of mistakes; O must protect the ball and score again...special teams heads up
Long, much-needed break coming up, let's finish this
I see some are already preparing the narratives just in case so they can immediately point once again to something in case we still lose this game. I can still remember how very similar people were ripping McD for not kneeling it against the Colts in 2014 when Brady threw that INT right before halftime.
We are playing with our third string QB, are 10:0 up and get the ball back after halftime. By trying to do something you risk the ball and the health of players. This was a fine decision, this is not the Brady offense that just kneels it out.
Wow I wonder how many of the OC's in hear crying about being conservative would be killing Josh and Bill if Jacoby throws a pick that leads to points. We are playing on a short week with a rookie 3rd string QB, with a 10 point lead at halftime against a 2-0 team.
