The other Dolphin player made contact with the ball when he was out of bounds and prior to the change of possession - so the Pats should keep the ball at the spot of the play. Still 3-0.

Yes, but he never touched it. Wilkins did touch the player who picked up the fumble, but not the ball itself.

EDIT: His knee does touch it. It's a forward fumble.
