Whoever said Zappe had a noodle arm I don't know what they were looking at. His passes have noticeably more zip than Mac's, but there's definitely no QB controversy. Offense seems limited with him but coaching staff has done a great job not setting him up to fail

In a game where the opponent is not fielding an NFL-level defensive backfield, Zappe is looking much more like an NFL-level QB than he was last week. That's great for him, and great for the team.

Agreed, obviously it isn't like Zappe is the next Patrick Mahomes, and Detroit has nothing in the defensive backfield, so it isn't exactly like they are playing the '85 Bears.

....However, there are plenty of rookie QBs (even some that became quite good) that couldn't play as well as he has in this game. Good for him and and you say, great for the team.
