Yeah, Thuney was the starting LT at NC State his senior season, so I have little doubt that he would know what to do should he have to be the starting LT here next season. I do have serious doubts, however, that he would actually be able to do what he would need to do at this level. Those 32-1/4" arms are just too much of a detriment at his size to overcome. Now while Seabass Vollmer also had short arms (33-1/2", if that), he was able to make up the difference due to his sheer size, power & athleticism for such a big dude.
I will feel a whole lot better if either 31 or 43 is used on either Kolton Miller or Brian O'Neill

Not directed at you Captain but I find it kinda funny that after years of *****ing about how Solder was a mediocre LT and sometimes unacceptable there is this euphoria to get Kolton Miller who is a carbon copy of Solder.

Maybe it is just confirmation bias and I am overestimating the number of people who want him drafted but it seems funny to me after all that Solder bashing afterall.

To people like captain troll Solder became a good LT the moment he signed with the giants.

Interested to see the numbers on the Burnett deal. It should set the market for Vaccaro, and the Steelers don't have the room to offer crazy money.

If we snatched both him and Breaux that would rock.

I don’t think we need any more help at Safety with Chung, Harmon and Dmac. And for corner we probably need young guy to develop as opposed to one with an injury history.

Gotta get some more cap space, one way or another.
Lord knows there is plenty of opportunity to rework a handful of deals.

I think we can all agree Allen has value as an outstanding run & pass blocker, but he is overpaid at $5m yr in 2018 and there is no way in hell they are paying him $7.4m in 2019. Depending on how sure he is of himself he should be inclined to re-do his deal.

If they pick up a steal of a RB in the draft and he lights it up in camp, Gillislee might be in trouble. Thats $2m right there.

..and then there is #12.

I can see the Pats trading Gill for a 5th to 7th rounder or to move up in the middle rounds.

Bill might be able to get that. I actually believe Gill to be more than serviceable. In this offense Burk, White and Dlew just had more ability in the passing game.

If he plays to his potential I think Hill surpasses Gill as well. Just a more talented player and a better receiver.

We shall see.

I thought the Colts new OL coach was Dave D. He didn't do a very good job here.

Sorry. I must have missed something. I thought you were talking about the Lions and their former OL coach, Ron Prince, who had followed Caldwell to the Lions from the Colts (coincidentally). Prince also sucked.

That seems an odd way to go.

Safety is where the Pats have three veterans, two of them about to turn 31, and no young starting candidate developing behind them.

The cornerback group, aside from Gilmore and (now) McCourty, doesn't have that much NFL experience.

It seems to me that, looking at the future, you'd want to find a talented young guy (or two) for safety rather than corner.
