DRAFT Official Draft Day LIVE Discussion Thread - Night 2

Maybe bb needs some really strong glasses because when I look in the New England patriot tight end and wide receiver meeting rooms, I see an ancient nfl veteran, a couple of worthless veterans, a lot of turds and a couple of young unproven players!

How about we draft some guys that can contribute at these two positions.

Patriots updated draft picks:
2nd (37) S Kyle Dugger (Lenoir-Rhyne)
2nd (60): LB Josh Uche (Michigan)
3rd-87
3rd-100
4th-125
4th-129
4th-139
5th-172
6th-195
6th-204
6th-212
6th-213
7th-230

Yeah. 3/4 wouldn’t see the field much in our defense. 2/3 would be a starter playing a lot of snaps. Collins always played a lot of snaps.
I was referring to depth chart status

I don't think we need to worry about the Titans now. We're nowhere near playoff caliber yet. It's baby steps for this team.
I'm not conceding this is an 8-8 team. If you can't stop the run you got issues

Looking at 2 LB draft rankings for LB (USA and Walter Football)and Uche didn’t show up on either one’s radar!? He played 52% of snaps and has potential tho so hope he works out

Me too. I don’t ever recall Collins being 4th On the depth chart. That’s a backup. Most years 3rd is. am I missing something?

It is interesting to me that we have drafted two guys that play multiple positions. I like it....

But...can we get some offense?

Well, WR is deep and the TE sweet spot is the 3rd/4th, so well see how it plays out.

sadly, Cialis gives me a backache...
Try different positions. And remember, over four hours requires medical attention no matter what she says.

That doesn’t make sense because he was a consensus 2nd rounder. Is he listed at de?

I don't want to do anything remotely like grading/critiquing this pick until I see what gets done with the other picks in rounds 2-3, because this is where "all those players are the same" this year, so I want to see how the picks all play out.

It's another Cunningham situation, to me.

At least with Cunningham we were getting a guy from a great team from the best conference in the nation.
This kid may become Cam Chancellor but it’s hard to judge his play when he’s going against guys who probably weren’t the best on their high school team. Who knows...

I like the picks left. Two close together at 87 and 100, then three really close from 125 to 139. Deep draft still. Can fill a lot of holes.

I'm calm, in fact I like these picks. We lost a couple on D sure, but last year we didn't even have anything on O worth losing, except TB12. Intriguing decisions so far this off season..

Without these picks, and probably even with these picks, the 2020 defense will take a step back from the 2019 defense. It's hard not to when you lose that many starters and key role players. The way I saw it pre-draft, the only defensive position we don't really need to fortify is cornerback. Thus, if we take a non-CB defensive player, it definitely still fills a need.

so far we are weak at WR.....Sanu will be back to what he’s been whole career....decent possession WR (#3-4WR)......Hopefully Harry steps up into elite role....Maybe Meyers can connect with Stid....but they need to address this position more in draft FA

QUOTE="Ring 6, post: 5884660, member: 38603"]The big question is the injuries to Sanu and Harry.
If the team believes Harry is the 1 they drafted and the injuries ruined his season and Sanu is the mediocre wr2/ good wr3 his career in Atlanta indicates along with Edelman and a dog fight for WR4 they may legitimately feel good about Wr.
TE is huge need. Ilb depth is a big need. And I personally would love to see a 350 lb slave eating NT. Otherwise you are upgrading adequate to good across the roster with the remaining picks. (Aside from K and QB2/3)[/QUOTE]

I said 3rd and 4th.
