If you aren’t excited about what Bill Belichick can do with a 220 lb S who plays the run like a LB runs like a db, and can be disruptive in every area of the field, you should find a new hobby. Cry about everything else if you want but criticizing this pick makes you look really dumb.

As dumb as drafting Michel and Harry in the 1st round, or as dumb as giving up a 2nd for Mohamed freaking Sanu?

Just playing the odds.

Let's play a game...you give me a quality 2nd round DB pick BB has made, and I'll respond with a horrendous one. We'll see who runs out of players first.

He’s made his share of bad picks. Doesn’t mean you should shy away from taking a player you have strong convictions for just because you haven’t had success at this position in that particular round.

He was also screaming to draft 2 rookie QBs to develop behind Stidham. I think brain damage occurred when he fell out of his tractor, or maybe he didn’t have a mask on and got a compromising dose of DuPont chems from the crop duster.

Pats sign QB Brian Hoyer, LB Brandon Copeland

No, I've completely changed my mind. I think Hoyer is an extremely valuable asset to the team. Almost as valuable as 1st round receivers who can't run.

I don’t get it. Hes begging for a wideout; we took one first round last year and he struggled (imo injury basically killed his season.) Now he’s mad because we didn’t go that route again, instead focusing on replacing older vets/LB losses on defense and the worst TE group in the league?

The 1st round receiver was being outplayed by an undrafted bum before he ever got hurt. He can't run.

After watching the last 20 years of Patriot drafts, the complexities of Belichick's board are apparent. He clearly places value where most of us often don't. Where I get frustrated with some of the folks on this board is when they look at a draft as an opportunity to fix all of the team holes. This just isn't realistic. I have no idea why he didn't pick WR in this draft, other than his board didn't fall that way. We just lost our 20 year QB, are up against the cap for a year after a spectacular run and are coming off a season where we had the oldest offense and defense in the league. There is no way that the 2020 draft can alleviate our holes. I like what was done this weekend. It wasn't flashy but you can see the blueprint taking shape. That's all we can hope for in April.

"Share of bad picks"??? The guy has not drafted a quality WR (outside of one qb conversion) in nearly 2 decades. That is utterly unbelievable.

Oh you mean preseason? You do realize that he was dealing with an ankle injury during that time that ultimately lead to IR. It came out that he was dealing with the injury all summer.

Is the blueprint to tank for a qb? Maybe it's to set a record for the slowest offensive skill guys in NFL history. Maybe it's to set a record for the greatest number of 2nd round DB flops in NFL history. Any way you cut it, it's phenomenal.

He got hurt in the preseason Lions game. He was slow in college, and he's slower in the NFL.

judging by the reactions , i bet if the pats don't make the playoffs , people will want BB fired next yr.

It is 100% wrong. His contract was up. You cannot fire someone who doesn’t have a contract. You can quote as many incorrect articles as you want but a fact is a fact.
You still haven’t answered my question.

You are even wrong defending that you are wrong. How did it go last time dante retired?
Patriots were 4th in scoring and WON the SB, which they had not done in the last 9 years WITH Dante followed by being 3rd in scoring and going to the AFCCG.
The patriots scored more points on each of those seasons than they have in any season since.
So, how did it go when Dante left last time?

Another thing you are entirely wrong about.
Honestly you have almost a perfect record that every opinion or fact you state is wrong. You couldn’t be wrong more if you tried.

If that’s true then the average IQ of said “people” would be about 7. But reading some of these posts I might take the under.

boston media and fans are very quick to turn on their coaches and players so it wont take long or much here for that to happen.
