I thought a bit odd as well. I didn’t see any of the video but maybe patscap isn’t explaining very well what he saw…IDKAnd how does having expectations make them pick better players?

Lets hope they are both in the first three then.I am finally seeing the classic "QB chatter" in the mainstream pages i follow
There will 2 QBs taken in the top 5.
I think people are getting confused on new standards "We're going to prioritize separation more and blocking less," which I'm assuming Vrabel is setting the tone on, and the new system "This is now a number based system, where 4 means ready to play and 2 means needs to be developed." But I could be wrong as there hasn't been a lot coming out about it.I thought a bit odd as well. I didn’t see any of the video but maybe patscap isn’t explaining very well what he saw…IDK
Personally I wouldn't mind a trade down, and Im even aware that this year it's not a good one for hauling picksLets hope they are both in the first three then.
Even the DLine they need a 2-gap run stuffer but that is a R3 or R4 guy. Maybe there is one in FA too.Agree. Except for QB, CB, and maybe D line we need talent everywhere.
Yep but based on their new scheme I think a 2 gapper is a low priority. My statement was more about acquiring high-end talent.Even the DLine they need a 2-gap run stuffer but that is a R3 or R4 guy. Maybe there is one in FA too.
Bring Ryland homebring Folk home
Bring Ryland home
Did I mention that Ryland was an NFC Pro Bowl alternate last year? He has a very strong leg, was very accurate in 2024, and getting better every year. Another Mayo disaster along with missing out on pick #1.
Seems kicking in that AZ climate did him a world of good.Did I mention that Ryland was an NFC Pro Bowl alternate last year? He has a very strong leg, was very accurate in 2024, and getting better every year. Another Mayo disaster along with missing out on pick #1.
He needed time. He was better in Y2 camp than Y1. He is a good kid too. Mayo the idiot.Seems kicking in that AZ climate did him a world of good.
With that said he grew up in a northern climate...go figure.
Or just had a rough rookie year.Seems kicking in that AZ climate did him a world of good.

IIRC Slye outplayed him in TC but not by much.Or just had a rough rookie year.
For the past few years this team is absolutely atrocious at acquiring and developing talent. Jesus. He needed time. He was better in Y2 camp than Y1. He is a good kid too. Mayo the idiot.
Numbering receivers is pure stupidity, either you’re good enough to play in the NFL or you’re not. I’d call Demario a great slot receiver even though he hasn’t played in a functional passing attack yet. Bourne has a reputation as a solid receiver. They have two very good TE’s, Boutte has proven to be at least a solid possession WR.They also don’t have a number 2 wide receiver. And please, spare yourself from attempting to articulate how any of our current JAGs are number 2 caliber WRs
I don't understand how this is different. Were there no expectations for Polk or Wallace? And how does having expectations make them pick better players?
The more I hear about this whole thing about having a new system, the more it seems like they're applying a new coat of paint and saying it's completely different.
