I hope they are right.
Hunter or a trade down,
Is where I’m at.
Carter is top 2.
Look at History great D ends don’t get out the first 3 picks.

I think it should be Hunter or else trade down as well but I think a lot of posters here don't understand how difficult that will be this draft cycle. A lot of teams will be trying to trade down from the top of the 1st round.I hope they are right.

I am finally seeing the classic "QB chatter" in the mainstream pages i followI like Carter but I just don’t think he makes sense on this roster right now when they have such dire needs on offense and they could likely get a nice return on a trade down if he’s available, enough to still get their tackle and a solid WR.
If Hunter is there then definitely take him, no questions asked. Instant WR1, could ultimately be as good as the best in the league.
If neither are there then you attempt to trade down but it may be hard to get any kind of decent return since the blue chips are gone and the QB needy teams will probably just wait a couple picks.
If you can’t trade down and Carter/Hunter are both gone then just draft Will Campbell. He may not ultimately be “worth” the pick but he is very pro-ready, intelligent and will likely be at least solid, which is still a huge improvement over Lowe. Solves a big need well enough. And he may end up being very good.
I’m more concerned about the earlier quote saying he doesn’t think the Patriots have to draft for need, which effectively implies they would be ok going to training camp with the LT and WR situations as-is. I sure hope there are a few more options up their sleeve for those positions.
I LOLedListing those names in defense of the Patriots offensive talent is GOLD
This is a confusing statement.
They also don’t have a number 2 wide receiver. And please, spare yourself from attempting to articulate how any of our current JAGs are number 2 caliber WRsSaying they need one good starting X WR and a LT is a world of difference from saying there is no talent on the offense.
They’re two starters away….
Glazier ?This is a confusing statement.
Who ran the draft last year if not Wolf? Is he trying to say it was Groh? Kraft? Doesn’t make a lot of sense
There IS talent on the Offense. Whether people are willing to admit it or not. There IS talent.
we
I LOLed
Then I got sad realizing we have by far the least talented offense in the nfl and Drake Maye is royally screwed.
They also have an overpaid RB who relies on blocking just to be effective. He's not going to run away from anyone or creates yards with his god given ability. That leads to the next weakness...The WR room is a cesspool
Have you ever played Rugby Mr Ray?The WR room is a cesspool
We got rid of him years agoWill Hernandez | Arizona Cardinals G | NFL and PFF stats
NFL and PFF player stats for Arizona Cardinals G Will Hernandez on Pro Football Focus.www.pff.com
Will Hernandez played for Arizona in 2023, got hurt last year after 5 games, but was putting on good numbers on a mediocre team
Double dip G/C, could actually provide competition for Bradbury (and win if 100% imo) and then we can feel safe at least for Center and another piece to rotate if our guards don't improve
I think if we throw 10M for 1 year deal is a guaranteed sign and if he performs back to his Arizona days, good guards are going into that 8-13 range easily (Sorry if I dont trust Jake ****ING ANDREWS)
sorry
Yeah, if there was ever a team that needs to draft for need, it’s this one. We need to pick twice in the top 25. The best way to ensure that is trade down from 4.There is work left to be done, but as long as they finish it off this will be a very good off season.
Defensively
Interior DL was very bad last year. They added Williams, and it appears Barmore will be ready to go. White can be both a DT and the big DE on running downs. We added Tonga for depth and now the guys who were playing major snaps are reserves. I’d like to see a draft choice here.
EDGE Added Landry plus Chaisson for depth. Jennings back to a part time role is good. Like to see a draft pick here too.
LB Added Spillane and Gibbens and getting Bentley back.
CB Added a strong CB2. I think we need more depth.
S Added Epps who will be a big help.
Offense
Qb. Added Dobbs, meh, but needed someone.
Rb. Needs to be addressed but if they make Gibson the 3rd down back we can easily draft a backup. I like Jennings too. Unfilled need but not worried yet.
WR So far this is the failure. We are NFL worst at WR and Ohio States WRs last year were better than we have. We have been rumored in in a bunch of guys. Godwin I get, he just wasn’t leaving but Metcalf, Deebo, Kupp,, Adams, Cooks all ended up elsewhere and we have a gaping need they could have helped fill. Diggs wasn’t signed, hopefully they get that done.
Not fixing this prevents the of season for being a success. We can’t just accept the worst WR group, by far, in the league. We at least need to sign a guy that would be our 1 and draft a wr no later than round 2.
TE. Good here, but need some youth.
OL. We entered the off season with only 2 OL who have any business being on the field, at least as starters. We added C and RT to those 2 Gs. We signed a veteran IOL for depth. We have Wallace and Robinson for development. We lack a LT. Again, the off season isn’t a success if this isn’t fixed. I would have liked to get a vet and a draft pick, but it looks like we need a LT in round 1 and he needs to play day 1.
We have filled a lot of needs and improved the roster dramatically but the 2 biggest holes, with no one on the roster to fill them haven’t been addressed. Filling those makes it a great off season, not filling them leaves us with holes that make it hard to compete.
We need to not panic. Pick BPA in the draft. We will not plug all the holes in 2025. We have FA in 2026 and the drafts this year and next. No need to panic. Don't waste draft picks and plan long term.Yeah, if there was ever a team that needs to draft for need, it’s this one. We need to pick twice in the top 25. The best way to ensure that is trade down from 4.
I think that saying that we shouldn't draft for need is misleading.Yeah, if there was ever a team that needs to draft for need, it’s this one. We need to pick twice in the top 25. The best way to ensure that is trade down from 4.
