And what if you can't find a trade partner?
I guarantee you that they'll find someone to trade for the #4 pick.

Reaching for a guy like TET, who has as much possibility as being the next N'Keal Harry as he does Anquan Bolden isn't the answer.
At worst, you take Membou or one of the other D-linemen.

We want to lose young athletic backers?
He was a bright spot for us.
How was he a bright spot? He couldn’t cover anyone and made 100s of bad reads and poor run fits in the tuning game.
All he did was show up every day. Those were the Mayo criteria, now we want them to actually be good at football.

Crappy singing. Guy has major issues pass-blocking. Gave up 38 pressures last season.
Ive come around negatively on him fwiw

TET is not worth the 4th over-all pick. Please stop with that foolishness.
The "Tet at 4" crew will never let up.

They still believe that he ran a legit 4.48.

Tet himself could publicly state "I'm not worth a top 5 pick. Only dumb-ass mother****a would think that." and they would still post "I'm taking Tet at 4, if Hunter and Carter at gone" the next day.

Membou is one of the answers that stops me in my tracks a little.

If you put them all in a list and then start removing guys with real questions like Tet, Graham, or Campbell you get back to a guy like Membou pretty quickly. And it's not like Moses is young.

It comes down to ignoring a flaw for what might be a better player or taking a slightly safer pick.

At the end of my analysis I land on Tet being a very good prospect and I feel his flaws aren't as scary as Campbells or Grahams. It doesn't hurt that it's a shiny toy or that it's a position we need.

You're being silly I'm a Tet at 4 guy it's not like I haven't considered every other option, this draft is what it is. And also go back a page where I questioned if Tets comments himself might indicate he's not an option here.

Edit: I might have asked that in the Tet thread.

Tyron Smith? You mean the guy who hasn't played a full season in 9 years? He's played on only 40 of a possible 84 games over the last 5 seasons.
Hence why I stress that he is a short term solution at LT. Don’t forget we also get Simmons in my preferred scenario. Smith played 13 and 10 games in the last two seasons. If he can give us that much, Simmons can come in after. Simmons is even expected to be ready for the start of the season. I guess if Smith isn’t your flavor then pick any remaining FA you like but he’d be just a placeholder until it’s time to start the rookie.

I think that’s definitely a reasonable scenario and would work well if it could be executed. Even if Smith somehow got hurt before Simmons was ready to play, you’re probably talking about a couple games of Lowe, which is manageable.

I am ecstatic with this FA so far. This defense is going to be ridiculous, imo. I thought that it would take a couple of years for Vrabel to turn this defense over into what he and Williams want, and I assume they think they are close.

I think the McD is going to make this a functional offense that will win some games, especially with the defense being tough. We do not need that many positions going into the draft. It is reasonable to think that they get the OT and WR in the top 2 picks.

Based on their schedule I think they compete for a wildcard spot at 10-7 or ll-6
Not in order
Baltimore : 0-1
Bills X 2 : 0-3
Fins X 2: 1-4
Jets X 2: 2-5
Cinncy: 3-5
Browns: 4-5
Saints: 5-5
Steelers: 5-6
Falcons: 6-6
Carolina: 7-6
Raiders: 8-6
Giants: 9-6
Bucs: 9-7
Titans: 10-7

If the Pats sign Diggs, and draft a LT at the top of the first round (at 4 or with a small trade down), they are probably in excellent shape. No big holes on offense or defense, decent depth at most positions, pretty good special teams.

I'm not a fan of Diggs. But if it's a 1 year deal I could live with it.

What WR1 was available in free agency???
Offered Godwin more than Tampa
Higgins was franchised
Who am I missing…
Godwin was the guy. I said the needs went unaddressed. If you interpreted that remark as a criticism of the offer, that's on you.

We have cap space we will never use. Why would you care if it’s a 2 or 3 year deal?
Hes miles better than anyone we have. Or could get

I was just confused by the not addressing WR1 in free agency was not great when there wasn’t a WR1 available. Godwin was not available

They wanted Ronnie Stanley so bad they tampered with him. After that it was dogshit. They will get their tackle in the draft.
Also in that report, two other teams tampered with Stanley. Tampering is what the combine is mostly about. And some guys doing drills.

I don’t have a problem with, I’m just citing it as an example of how much they wanted a good left tackle in free agency. It’s not their fault there was no one else available. And I sure as hell didn’t want them giving Dan Moore 82 million.
