I am glad that Robinson did not come here. I do not believe that he would have been much of an upgrade here and if the reports of his character is true then the production vs risk is not worth it in my opinion.

Side note, on reddit today someone posted that Diggs was on their flight to Boston. I hope this is not a sign of a signing. He tore his ACL the week after Aiyuk tore his ACL and MCL.

Just looking at our depth chart. It is VERY different than 3 months ago.
I don't know if our mid-level additions will turn out great individually, but you can't say this staff hasn't hit the tape & phones hard!

A ton of depth added. Most of the draft can be bolstering the depth roles & future development.
But, what we still absolutely need is: LT, WR (like always). And 2nd tier needs: RB, DE, FS, IOL

The Raiders have inked a deal with Patriots restricted free agent linebacker Christian Elliss via an offer sheet, according to the wire. New England has until Monday to respond with a matching offer.

UPDATE

Wonder what their offer was

The Ellis offer sheet is interesting, because if the Patriots do match it then that’s it - he’s locked into that deal but with NE instead. The Raiders presumably offered a cheaper deal than what the Patriots could’ve afforded.

Great signing

he is proven in the league, we need one interior lineman like that, considering Mike's struggles
Crappy singing. Guy has major issues pass-blocking. Gave up 38 pressures last season.

Carter, Hunter, or Tet at 4

Trade up for Simmons at LT. He's the best tackle and his knee will make him fall. Do what you have to do and trade up to take advantage.

Then take Milton and a 3 and trade up for Higgins too.

"I want it all and I want it now"
TET is not worth the 4th over-all pick. Please stop with that foolishness.

If we pass on Hunter for a tackle with T. rex arms I will lose it.
Good. LOSE IT. Then we won't have to hear from you..

Maybe go learn a thing or three from Scarnecchia instead of spewing garbage all day long.

This one's been percolating in my head for a while, once I saw some of those ridiculous contracts go out, and now some of the more reasonable ones.

Noteboom's no all-pro, but he's be a perfectly acceptable seat-filler while they wait a couple years for a youngster to take over.

Noteboom gave up 2 sacks, 2 hits, and 11 hurries in 152 pass blocking snaps.
Extrapolated out to 500 pass blocking snaps : 6.5 sacks, 6.5 htis, 36 hurries.

Lowe gave up 5 sacks, 5 hits and 23 hurries on 501 snaps.

So, you're advocating for a guy who is worse at pass-blocking than what the Pats currently have..

Diggs was spotted in the airport afterwards!

Honestly? None of the "Top" candidates are worth it for the Pats. They need to be trading down. Tet is no Jerry Rice or Randy Moss or Charles Johnson.

My ideal scenario at this point would be to sign Tyron Smith as a short term LT, then trade back into the first round and get the long term LT Josh Simmons. It would give the Pats a veteran starter and allow Simmons time to heal before he’s ready to be the LT for the future.

Tyron Smith? You mean the guy who hasn't played a full season in 9 years? He's played on only 40 of a possible 84 games over the last 5 seasons.

And what if you can't find a trade partner?

Man Marrone and Vrabel must see something in Lowe. Has the right size and statistical measurements to succeed. But it did not translate under last years regime would be an understatement. Couldn't take my eyes off him and Jacobs when offense was on the field; horrifying.
OR:
It's not a matter of seeing something in Lowe. It's a matter of the players available (Dan Moore / Cam Robinson) weren't upgrades over Lowe.
