I will be interested to see the reviews of OL play by individual players.

Also, I will be interested to see the snap counts.

LT: I think that Okorafor started and then Lowe came in for the rest.

LG: Did Jordane start? Who else played? It seems that they did OK.

C, RG, OT: Did any subs play?
Was Okorafor-Jordan-Andrews-Robinson-Onwenu.

Okorafor was pulled near the end of the first for Lowe, because he was so bad. Wallace played a ton of 6th OL too.

The next big test for Mayo is how fast he can turn the page and move onto Seattle. The NFL is a week to week grind and one of BB's best qualities and one of the things that made him one of the best HCs ever was that he never let the team get too high or too low. I am hoping and believing that Mayo picked up on this quality.
Touching on this one more time - in Mayo's press conference he emphasized multiple times essentially some variation of "this is great and all, we'll enjoy it on the flight home, but then we're gonna turn the page and focus on the next game"

I didn't notice any substitutions anywhere except LT personally, though I could've missed something. I thought Jordan looked good, Andrews was his usual self, Robinson had some very good and very bad plays, and Onwenu was fine. Lowe is what he is - he did his job as best he could. Hopefully with better health and everyone getting more comfortable it'll look even better.

Alex Van Pelt gets fired from Cleveland because ownership doesn’t like that Watson isn’t doing well, despite his winning with multiple QBs last year.

Week 1, he wins on the road using a BB / Bill Parcells offensive blueprint with a mediocre QB and offensive line. Cleveland’s getting whooped, 10 points on offense, playing at home.

Moral of the story? While we don’t know how Van Pelt will ultimately fare long term, we do know that the Browns are going to Brown.

I am thinking around 6 games of Brissett and then Maye comes on for the final ~11. Basically a college season length. They'll start him slow and then start letting him do more.

If that does happen, at least Jacoby started off 1-0. Of the next 5 games (Seattle, Jets, Niners, Dolphins, Texans) I am guessing they can win another 1 or 2 games based on today's results. So if Maye can step into things with his team being 3-3, and the back half of the schedule being lighter, I think a playoff berth could be in reach?

Maye played 14 games two years ago and 12 last year.

Was there a reason Okra started at LT - just 1 or 2 series, then Lowe played the rest?
Wonder if that was the plan due to Lowe's injury, or if Okra was that bad?
I was pleasantly surprised by Jordan & Robinson.
Getting Wallace eased in as 6th OL - wonder if the plan is to bump Onwenu back in to RG and establish Wallace at RT?

The OL may be getting overly praised because of the dominant run day by mostly Rham.
They were not good in Pass protection.

Jordan playing at least OK as our LG is a major plus.

Needing a 6th OL to support Okorafor/Lowe isn't much of a surprise. It is also good to see Wallace contributing.

It seems that we have one OL combination and scheme that works.

Robinson had some very good and very bad plays
I saw him manhandling some guys on a couple of the runs. He's one powerful beast.
But that sack where Jacoby was flattened was on him too - nobody picked up the free runner down the middle.

I noticed that we had no "healthy" scratches.
Sow is injured.
Milton was the emergency #3 QB.
Baker was apparently being punished, although he likely is behind Boutte and would have been out anyway.
The other four were our waiver players who aren't ready yet.

Very pleasant surprise to see the OL function. I really hope they can hold things down this season - but I also hope the 2025 draft is OT centric.

Very interested to see the reports on OL performance once the all-22 is out. Unlike many posters here, I thought they did well today. Also, the running production is hard to argue against.

Like a few of us have said this camp, they're actually pretty good at running the ball. Pass protection still needs a little work, but it is something that can improve as the weeks roll on. Plus, if they continue to be effective in the run game then it softens the pass rush and allows for effective play action, etc. I'm really not that worried about it. In all likelihood, Peters probably focused on the run game first and foremost anyway.

I'm not sure if you're underselling it intentionally, or you just don't actually see how bad the pass protection is. Brissett spent most of the day running for his life when he couldn't get a pass off immediately. It's a damn good thing they ran 30 times successfully, I don't know how sustainable that is across the league, especially when everyone's loading the box against you by week 5. 121 yards passing. That's what they managed today. And I feel like Brissett did everything he could have.

"A little work" is putting it gently, sure. But I am optimistic about it.
