Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

New Orleans also makes sense from the standpoint of maintaining a reasonable proximity to his kids in Miami. Also, I'm sure Brady would love having his home games in a dome. And next season the Saints have at least 4 road games indoors (@ATL, @HOU, @IND, @MIN). And one in sunny Tampa Bay of course. Come to think of it, Brady probably loves the idea of embarrassing Todd Bowles on two occasions.

But here's the REAL draw for Brady going to New Orleans... right now the Saints are lined up for a matchup at Gillette! Both teams just need to remain in their current spots (3rd in their division).

Wirfs on his status for this week: “I’m fantastic. I’m going regardless.”

Todd Bowles said they have no expectations for Jensen. No chance he plays this week.

Very encouraging viewing window at #Bucs practice: In addition to Jensen, Tristan Wirfs, Donovan Smith, Jamel Dean, Carl Nassib and Lisfranc Lenny all are out here.

Gage is out here also. Only dinged-up notable we don’t see out here is Vita Vea (calf). All hands on deck for this de facto playoff game.

They're going to need Vea to get his big ass out there for the game, so I hope this is just part of prepping for that, and not part of missing another game.

We're not actually worried about this game, are we??

Easier said than done perhaps but the Bucs have to put this game on the arm of Sam Darnold. I know the immortal P.J. Walker essentially lit them up last time but they're not getting toasted by another bum. ************, Dummy Bowles can't be that incompetent (as a DC).

Offensively it's going to be Brady running the no huddle for 60 minutes. Leftwich can stay home.

The Panthers have shown they can run the ball and the Bucs can't stop it like they used to anymore.

That's the biggest worry

Sleepy Bowles needs to hit the film room hard this week. No days off!!

I’m worried about any game with this miserable team but ironically if they do host the Cowboys in the WC game I’m picking them to win lol. But then in all likelihood based on the seeding it’s either a trip to San Fran or Philly in the divisional round which is undoubtedly the end of the line. If the stars align just right and it’s a trip to Minnesota I MIGHT give the Bucs a chance there.

STFU dude. You were wrong about PIT, CAR (1st time) & CLE. You're bad juju. Every time you prognosticate an easy win, they lose. Take the week off.

They always run the same offense week after week. So no Brady will not run no huddle unless they are behind and there is less than 10 minutes left.

They continue to try and be a power run team. Bowles had said he wants to run more starting in preseason to the intermission of the last game. So expect more 1st down runs to the middle or left side for 0 to 3 yards. Then 2nd and long with the defense teeing off on Brady as it's another obvious passing down.

It seems like Brady's choices are only down to Tennessee, Las Vegas, TB, and NYG.

TB might not be an option either as I don't think Bowles is high on Brady.

For NYG, I haven't seen anyone linking them to Brady.

So Brady might only have 2 choices.

Vegas is really slept on after cutting care and reconstructing Jones they’ll have 77 million in space sign and resign Brady, there OT, Jacobs, Gronk, and draft picks to market level deals and they have about 28 million to fix the defense. They lost 9 games by 7 points or less and that’s with Waller/Renfrow missing half those games add those guy plus Gronk/Brady and it’s an elite offense that’s winning 80% of this one score games

Come on, I was right 7 times already this season.

Unfortunately I actually agree with you. Wishful thinking on the no huddle more often. Bowles is just a total idiot and Brady probably goes along with the conservatism to preserve his health. Hopefully once the playoffs roll around, and Brady doesn't have to be so keen on staying healthy, he'll just open it up more on his own.

I do however think they're winning this game. Since when does Brady lay an egg with a division title on the line?

didn’t know that about their cap space. I knew about the weapons but not that. very interesting

Vegas the roster might be a good landing spot. But the division isn’t. It’s hell and yes the Broncos might still suck but Brady in Denver? God no.

“It sucks that it’s so simple, but it’s just execution,” Tristan Wirfs says of what Bucs must do differently in second game vs. Panthers on Sunday.

Wirfs found a polite way to say "The center-left of our O-line has to stop sucking, and the WRs need to stay healthy enough to be able to play the freakin' games enough so that they can get on the same page as the QB, FFS".

Here’s initial injury report for Bucs and Panthers. Carlton Davis (shoulder) is something to watch:

Neither Bucs nor Ryan Jensen will comment on the specific damage to the knee. No surgery was done so have to assume whatever ligament/cartilage damage he sustained has improved over time. Not for a lack of asking.

Vita Vea practicing today, helmet in hand, which bodes well for Sunday. He was a limited participant Wednesday and didn’t get out to practice until after the media window.

Both Bucs tackles — Tristan Wirfs and Donovan Smith — continue to practice today, which would be a huge help for Sunday vs. Carolina. Wirfs has said he’s playing.

Looks like Carl Nassib (pectoral) is practicing today. Jamel Dean (toe) is here but not participating. Carlton Davis (shoulder) not out here during window open to media.

Could be another late arrival, but I didn’t see Bucs DL Rakeem Nunez-Roches, who missed Wednesday’s practice for personal reasons.
