Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Didn’t they give up there’s first this year as well, idiots
They always manage to work around it.
I don't think he's going to the Saints though.

It’s happening folks if he can be 80% the guy he was last year by the Philadelphia game that would be huge. That’s 4 weeks of practice and 2 games played if he plays in the last game. All this won’t matter when leftwhich calls 4 run plays in a row again

PHI game? Can we please get by the Panthers first?

It's good news that he's gotten to this point.

If Jensen is really coming back - game changer.

I’ll go down with Brady till the wheels fall off
Well if not the Pats I hope you're right.
If not TB then anybody but Kansas City or Buffalo lol

This would be mindboggling to say the least. Brady should have a 100% approval rating in Bucs Nation. He should too in New England but there are too many IBWTers who can't handle the truth.
The truth can be a cruel thing.

List of possible 2023 destinations for Brady has been rejuvenated!...

Miami
Las Vegas
Tennessee
Indianapolis
San Francisco
New Orleans
Atlanta
Carolina
Arizona
Detroit
Washington
Tampa Bay
LAR
NYG
NYJ
NEP

Who am I forgetting?
It sounds like Brady wants to play 1 more year, but he needs that perfect situation to succeed like TB was in 2020.

With that in mind, the possibilities are:
Miami - the ship has sailed
LV
Ten
No way on those squeelers Indy
SF - they got Purdy and Lance
NO - they aren't set up for it
Atl, Car, Arizona are rebuilding
Detroit - Goff has done good
Washington- not good enough
TB
LAR - I think Stafford is back
NYG, intriguing
NYJ, doubt it and I hope not
NEP, would BB make a team built to win for 2023 to attract Brady? Doubt it. Also Kraft is cheap as puck to do it.

It seems like Brady's choices are only down to Tennessee, Las Vegas, TB, and NYG.

TB might not be an option either as I don't think Bowles is high on Brady.

For NYG, I haven't seen anyone linking them to Brady.

So Brady might only have 2 choices.

NO can figure out how to manage the cap if they want.

He just needs one really good option. Which may be Las Vegas because of the familiarity with McDaniels.

That's funny if Bowles decides he wants to move on from Brady. I also think it's 0% up to Bowles. There's no way that organization is letting that dummy make any kind of franchise altering decision. He'll be extremely lucky if he doesn't get fired, with or without Brady returning.

Miami - the ship has sailed
Not if Tua continues to suck down the stretch or if he's forced to retire due to the concussions (which seems like a real possibility).

SF - they got Purdy and Lance
Both are on skimpy rookie contracts so SF can afford to bring in a regularly priced quarterback. Purdy can still blow it for SF this season and Lance may just not be ready for a starting gig.

NO - they aren't set up for it
I think they're almost just a quarterback away. Also it makes sense if Payton returns as the head coach.

Detroit - Goff has done good
Sure but it's still Goff.

They play in a dome and have plenty of really good young talent, both of which will be to Brady's liking. One major problem though is the head coach. Not sure Brady wants to deal with a meathead like Dan Campbell.

NEP, would BB make a team built to win for 2023 to attract Brady? Doubt it. Also Kraft is cheap as puck to do it.
This is by far the most intriguing destination. Probably one of the most unlikely too. It's too much of a surrender on Bill's part.

I want Brady to keep playing AND I'm mostly a realist about it. He's not going to go into the season as a Super Bowl favorite unless it's the 49ers (which won't happen.) I'm not looking for that though. What I'm looking for is being a favorite to win his division. A winning record and a division title is worth watching. And if you want to argue that that is simply Brady padding his stats then I'll agree with you. And GOOD, I want him to.

Just having him play another season is worth it to me (given that I believe he can still play at a high level). I also agree with you on the compiling stats. And the winning record and division title he's actually getting this season, although some people are insisting his season is a failure. I just don't see it that way... the stats, the division title, another shot at the postseason (and padding stats there) are all pluses.

NO can figure out how to manage the cap if they want.

On 2nd thought NOLA with Payton would be a great fit.

And yeah a team can always kick the cap down the road another year. In fact Nola is a prime candidate for this. They have a bunch of aging players at the end of their prime. They can go all in for one more year with their aging stars and then blow it up.

I also think Taysom Hill will be a big help for Brady and I can see them going hard after Gronk.

Lastly, the NFC South stinks and they are scheduled to play the AFC south with stinks just as bad.

There are 3 players, Mahomes, Burrow, and Herbert who have the talent and trajectory to possibly challenge some of Brady's big records such as regular season passing yard and passing Tds.

One more year for Brady should make those big passing records safely out of reach for a very very long time.

assuming Michael Thomas actually plays the Saints are the move. Payton calling the plays, Kamara, Thomas, Olave, and whoever else they can add

I don’t think 49ers will want him but if they do that’s obviously the best spot
