Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Bucs have had 29 possessions in the first half of first six games this year. Just three touchdowns. Basically a 1-in-10 chance of reaching end zone in first half.
3 TDs
11 FGs
1 missed FG
9 punts
3 fumbles
2 turnover on downs

Just to offer the second-half equivalent for this tweet. Bucs have 33 second-half possessions this year:
7 TDs
4 FGs
18 punts
1 INT
1 fumble
2 end of game

The red zone issues would go a long way toward being solved if Gronk returns for another run. Their fix for Gronk leaving was Julio who, shockingly, cannot get on the field.

I am shocked they are not using the fade to Evans in the RZ. It looks to work 2/3 of the time. That’s coaching malpractice

Waiting too long to make a move for veteran TE help, and then being stuck with what is, apparently, the corpse of Rudolph, didn't help either.

They should just let Otton roll. He looks good the few times they target him

Looks like:

"Tom Brady’s sideline meltdown in Sunday’s 20-18 loss to the Steelers has fans trolling the Buccaneers quarterback about his marriage.

With less than a minute left in the first half, Fox cameras caught a furious Brady yelling at his linemen as Tampa Bay trailed Pittsburgh, 10-6, at Acrisure Stadium.

Buccaneers fans took to Twitter after the loss to share the disappointment that Brady was defeated by Steelers backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky — and let Brady know that it’s not too late to try to save his marriage to Gisele Bündchen.

“Tom Brady ruined his marriage so he could lose to Mitch Trubisky,” one person tweeted. “There is still time Tom. Quit football and go to her.”

Fans get brutal over Tom Brady meltdown: ‘Ruined marriage to lose to Mitch Trubisky’

As I’ve said numerous times over the past 3 years. If there was any doubt before it has been confirmed that Patriots fans are just as pathetic and petty as Jets, Colts, Ravens, etc fans.

Gosh. When this thread finally has run its course you'll have nowhere to go! What then?

TB sounds confident they can turn it around...question is if they can. Doesn't seem like it with how they're playing

.@Buccaneers broke down more in this game defensively than any team or in any game played this season. If this isn’t cleaned up by tomorrow this is going to be the most disappointing of sessons. WHY? WHY is this happening to a veteran D?

Playcalling, personnel counting, player execution... It's all a problem right now. It's a failure at every level, and that's in all 3 phases of the game.

Of all of the quarterbacks having a down season so far, Brady supposedly among them, here is my list of the most underachieving quarterbacks in order...

1. Russell Wilson
He looks completely befuddled on literally every passing down... what the hell happened to this guy? Had an excellent career in Seattle, and although he started showing some slippage last season, what we're seeing right now is a precipitous decline. With a massive contract too.

2. Matthew Stafford
8 INTs, 11 turnovers so far... he's playing like the bad version of Brett Favre. No repeat for the Rams with Stafford stinking up the joint.

3. Aaron Rodgers
Almost gave away the game to the Patriots who were down to their 3rd string QB. Followed that up with back to back home losses to the NY teams. Hasn't surpassed 255 passing yards and is playing totally uninspired football. Looks like a case of take the money and run.

4. Mac Jones
Yes Jonesy you make the list. 14 turnovers in your last 8 games with a 2-6 record...

5. Kyler Murray
Another quarterback with a new mega contract hangover. Maybe the return of Hopkins will get him straightened out but Murray has been garbage so far. Only 6 TDs to go along with 4 INTs... and people are on Brady's case for 8 TDs and 1 INT... all of these QBs would be thankful for that right now.

Dishonorable mentions....

Matt Ryan... 8 TDs & 7 INTs... bring back Wentz who took an entire season to reach 7 INTs.
Justin Fields... doesn't have much around him but he looks like a complete bust.

Brady is still playing at a championship level he just needs time and for Tampa to get off there ass and trade for an impact player. If there isn’t a guard available they should trade anything to get Brain Burns to help that pathetic defense out cause the pass rush ain’t cutting it

There's no drop off physically, but he had a bad game Sunday. His annual stinker

I can only normally watch the non-1pm games so I only saw the hilights. From what I saw and read was an OK Brady considering he was often under duress, had to throw quickly, and often to tight windows to double covered receivers. He played good enough for the team to win.

It was Leftwhich who really stunk the room. And Bowls defense was so anti-clutch in failing to stop 3 and long 3 times on the last drive.

A Brady stinker to me is when he plays so bad, the rest of the team has no hope to win such as the Saints shutout last year and the Chiefs blow out several years ago.

Brady was so ungodly bad against the Saints in both of their Tampa games the last two years it’s crazy.
