Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I'm back on the Scotty Miller bandwagon. As long as he's asked to play WR4/5 instead of WR2, he looks great.

Him and Brady have been off this year but are bound to connect eventually.

On the end zone throw above, Miller had the corner clearly beat but Brady underthrew the ball by a few yards.

Miller ran another deep route in the 4th and was robbed due to a dpi that wasn't called. It looks like corners are being told to commit dpi against him when they are being beat as the refs having been calling it so far.

Time to check back in

After many seasons of Rodgers and Packers playing above their talent level, I'm predicting they don't overachieve this years. Packers 9 or 10 wins. Rodgers not even in the running for MVP.

Brady's TD numbers are frustratingly low. He easily could have gotten 3TDs vs the Falcons.

Making it clear that was a BS call against the Falcons I even stated it during the game, but the narrative that Brady always gets the calla is false

If Brady's marriage ends up being truly over, he might as well come back for one more year. He'll have the major QB records for the Bucs as well as the Pats.

As much as coming back to the Bucs would be great, playing for the 49rs would be extremely interesting. But I wonder if there is a lingering resentment towards Brady from Shanahan.

49ers can't move of Lance. They gave up too much for him

We're talking about one more year.

They wanted to play Lance last year but he couldn't beat Garrapolo. They wanted him to play this year but he sucked then injured. They might as well sit Lance out again in 2023. He can suck and be injured in 2024 and 2025, before they cut bait.

The 49rs sort of reminds me of the Pats. They both had QB1s but couldn't wait to move onto the QB of the future even if it meant waisting seasons.

Not a BS call but a nitpicking call which the refs often do. The Falcons player landed the full weight of his body during the sack which is a roughing the passer call as of a couple years ago courtesy of Rodgers.

Garrapola reminds me of Brady in his first couple years. Not an allstar but good enough to win SBs. Any team that has a QB that's good enough to win SBs shouldn't be looking to move on.

The 49rs loss to the Chiefs wasn't just JG missing throws, it was also Shanahan's play calling and moving away from the run when it was working so well. Him and Lynch are hypocrites throwing shade at JG when they should be doing it to themselves. (Lynch probably could have gotten Lance by staying put in the draft).

He's out your league Brandi.

The secret to Brady's longetivity is witchcraft. Without Giselle's potions, hexes, and stuff,.. Brady will be mortal,. allegedly.

Snap counts are out for Bucs-Falcons. On offense, huge day for rookie Cade Otton, and busy game for Scotty Miller getting almost as many snaps as Chris Godwin:

On defense, secondary injuries complicated things, but much less nickel usage against run-heavy Falcons. Lots of dime on third downs as well. Rookie Logan Hall almost led DL in snaps:

Missed calls all over Bucs-Falcons on Sunday. Here's Falcons' first touchdown, and a pretty clear hold by Falcons TE Parker Hesse on Antoine Winfield to spring Avery Williams for an 8-yard score. They miss a lot.

The roughing-the-passer call against Grady Jarrett on Sunday was the first such call drawn by Tom Brady this year. He drew one, total, in all of 2021. Since he came to Tampa in 2020, he ranks 16th among all QBs in RTP penalties. He has six.

Ryan 17
Allen 16
Tannehill 15
Goff 13

Cousins 12
Wentz 12
Stafford 11
Mahomes 10
Mayfield 9
Roethlisberger 8
Wilson 7
Carr 7
Rodgers 7
Bridgewater 7

Doesn't matter it's not Tom Brady benefitting from it

Oh, there's no question that the whining about that RTP is all about pushing a narrative, and nothing at all about honest criticism.

Yessir

Same crew had a RTP that benefited Allen last week and there was no complaining there other than Ravens fans

Bowles says he doesn’t expect safety Logan Ryan back and playing Sunday in Pittsburgh.

Brady threw 719 passes last year and drew one flag for roughing the passer. So even if there’s a conspiracy to get them that one call, it’s not the most ambitious crusade.
