Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I understand the love for the Rams and to a degree the love for the Packers, but don't understand why many have the 49rs ranked so high. They are 3rd in this ranking.

Bucs are 4th. I think anywhere from 1 to 5 is fair.

Pats are 19th. From the 2nd half of 2019 to current, they seem to be a 10th to 20th type team. I don't see that changing for next year either. Has fans gotten use to them just fighting for a playoff instead of the top seed? It could be awhile.

Well Rams are gonna tumble in next weeks list.

Don't feel nearly as concerned about the Rams as I did prior to last night. What a poop show. I think they have lost too much talent.

They'll be fine if they're Oline shows up.
They won't be playing the Bills every week

Their defense isn’t the same.
Eh I'll still feel okay having Donald. I honestly think it was the Superbowl hangover. Let's see how they do in a month or so. What would worry me if I were a Rams fan is if they're still hungry to get a chip. They will also get the best out of every team being the champion

Well with just one playoff bye if you drop a couple early games you might be out of that race. And yeah the Rams didn’t have the bye last year but they beat a dead Bucs team and then Jimmy G choked again.

They have lost talent with OBJ and Miller. I agree that it is week one against a very good opponent. Perhaps they were also just flat but still encouraged that perhaps the Bucs won't have as tough as time as last year with them. Time will tell.

Among the many things to remember about the game, in terms of the Rams moving forward, is that Robinson is new to the system and Stafford missed all that time due to his elbow.

After all, if people are going to go nuts over Brady missing time, let's make sure we don't forget when other QBs miss time.

Tampa Bay is the team to beat in the NFC. Provided Brady continues to defy age and the receiving corps doesn't completely fall apart again, their passing game alone will win 12 games. I think Godwin plays in the opener with limited snaps. Gage is banged up so Julio Jones should see a lot of targets... if it's a rejuvenated Julio and he clicks with Brady then watch out. Also curious to see how they use their TEs... even 75% of Gronk was better than anyone on their current TE depth chart. I'm surprised they're even wasting any time on Rudolph.

Defensively their strong at DL and LB (although no depth) but their secondary is iffy. They're catching a nice break in the opener with Gallup still recovering from the ACL. I think Elliott is nearly toast so Dallas should be leaning more on Pollard who's a legit RB1. I've had Tampa Bay losing this one all along however upon further consideration I don't see Dallas scoring in the 30's whereas I have the Bucs at 31.

Bucs 31
Cowboys 27

Sure. No doubt. I am just happy with the outcome. I thought the Rams would win but was pleasantly surprised to see them get blown out. Hard to make any real predictions after week one but the outcome is certainly positive for the Bucs.

Bucs holding their final practice of the week, preparing for Cowboys. Chris Godwin out there in an orange non-contact jersey today.

I’d think the only player Bucs rule out for Sunday today is rookie corner Zyon McCollum. Godwin really the only other question mark on the 53.

Todd Bowles won't say anything about Bucs' injuries and Sunday and ruling anyone out, so they'll wait for the formal release of the injury report and what we learn there.

Aside from Jensen, Bucs will have the starting offensive line they envisioned for this season. And they've had six weeks with Robert Hainsey as the starting center, so there's more of a comfort level and confidence there.

Goedeke has looked like a rookie starter, so as Arians said, there will probably be some growing pains. They like him and have confidence in him at left guard. He'll get more consistent in his play every week.

You can rest assured that they will run the ball on 1st down and unload the ball quickly to protect the rookie and new center.

A lot of Bucs OL eyes are going to be searching for Micah Parsons just prior to the snap.

So where’s the Brady body language analysis I need an update.

He did look like **** in his recent press conference.

That's the best I can do for you, right now.
