Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I’ve looked back recently at the 2009 pre season media predictions and most experts were REALLY bullish on the Pats to make a Super Bowl run.
Why do you point out 2009 in particular since the Pats were pretty much either a favorite or a dark horse contender for a SB run every year from 2002 to 2019?

Checking up on AB on a slow Newsday.

Brown’s response? “Keyshia Cole, I’m a player man. We don’t want you Keyshia…I don’t go back. I go forward,” he said that same day.

I guess breaking up over the internet is just a sign of the times.

People are bound to make the same mistake over and over. Even me, I still sort of of pull for AB going back to the Bucs even though it would never happen and if it did he'd likely cause a train wreck, he is just that talented. I'm sure that AB will find a team at some point this season

This article is spot on.

Notice how Amendola and Cook were shown the door without thought of an adequate replacement. I had visions of Welker/Edelman when Berrios was drafted, but someone had the genius idea to cut him. Someone also had the genius idea to draft a contested jump ball specialist in Nkeal who can't even do that at the NFL level and I guess that genius also didn't notice that Brady barely makes throws that require contested catches.

Because the roster was not great and Brady was coming off the ACL.

Tom Brady played his first game with the Bucs at age 43, but he can become the franchise’s career leader in TD passes if he gets 39 this fall. What else is within his reach in 2022? 100,000 career passing yards, most fourth-quarter comebacks and more:

Brady spent all of 4 weeks “retired” to be a full time family man and not only immediately backtracked and signed on to at least 11 more years of football but seems to have dumped the kids off on his wife. What a boss.
I think it is pretty sad.

I talk in jest. But he can be a family man all he wants after he has nothing more to give on the field. His oldest kid is gonna be entering high school this year and he won’t want to be around his dad anyway.

Brady to Moss twice.

"Stop it. Just stop it!"
"Unbelievable. This is UNBELIEVABLE!"

This will never get old.

Those were the days.

I remember when my kids didn't want to be seen with me. It happened all of a sudden. One day we were walking down the center of town and one was behind me on the right and the other was ahead of me on the left.

As for the the idea that NYFL players don't get to see their kids more than the average working stiff, well, that just isn't true.

Well Brady’s eldest son doesn’t live with him full time so that part of things is true.

I’ve already asked @Deus Irae this, but I’m starting to notice a lot people posting in here, don’t post on the Pats board.

Are you guys over the Pats?

Did you know Tom has his own clothing line called “Brady”. I saw it at Nordstrom.

Seems like such easy money. You're a celebrity, so you think of a way to make the easiest possible profit with no risk. These clothing and cosmetic lines are just buying pre-made, pre-designed clothes and simply stamping your name and logo on it, selling it at insanely high margins. Just getting into these big retailers is the real barrier.

The Laughing troll can't stay away from here. People started to notice that a couple years ago. His favorite game ever is Superbowl 42. No true Pats fan would ever have that loss highlighted in their signature but he does.

Nice thread on Bucs deep passing plays.

Say what? Hardly. Pats fans who wintah in Tamper. Fun to follow Pats & NFL HOF SB winning machine Tom Brady until he retires.
The Cam season was painful. Mac Jones thankfully is fun to watch. Hoping the 2022 Pats D is able to force Buffalo to punt.

This offseason has been a real downer. They did next to nothing in FA, hired Judge to be the OC along with Patricia and then had a head scratching draft. I don't have much expectation at all for this season. Seems like a repeat of 2020 again so I have little interest in talking about the team. Plus the main forum can be really combustible with the same folks bickering.

This thread has so many respectable posters who come here to talk football in a civil way. It really is one of the best threads on the Internet football-wise. Also, I am pretty psyched to see Brady at age 45 continue to light it up. He has a chance at 100,000 total yards which is just a mind numbing stat. Plus a few other legacy records. So yeah, I am more definitely more excited about the Bucs season but will keep an eye on the Pats but not sure I will post much on the main forum but we'll see.
