Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Please be true!!
He asked Shanahan if it would be alright for him to only throw short passes. That must have been awkward. And then he basically didn't throw any passes.

If you have a ruptured UCL then you can't play catch on the sideline like he was doing. And if he was in as much pain as he explained after the game then he hides it well because it wasn't evident from the sideline shots.

People here didn't try hard enough, six months lines up with early training camp sessions...

And? You gonna role with Mr Irrelevant into next season despite him looking pedestrian in two playoff games and then needing half a year of rehab to even get back to being able to play meaning he misses out on an entire offseason of trying to get more blood out of that stone? Kyle might. Because he’s a moron. But they shouldn’t.

So July? Just in time for training camp, I guess. Even then it isn't a guarantee he'll be the same player.

Edit: just looked it up. 6 months minimum, not counting rehabbing and gaining strength/conditioning to throw on that arm and be effective, so could be up to 12 months realistically speaking. Maybe this is indeed Brady music and the witch's magic worked lol.

San Francisco can't be that collectively stupid. Someone in the think tank there has to have some common sense. It's now or never for them to get Brady. No more ****ing around.

I don't think they will do it and you are right, it would be incredibly stupid to not bring in someone who will play at a high level for all games. They could bring in someone else but anyone who could even come close to Brady's level would cost significantly more. How old is Warner? How long do they have that core? They need to give Brady 20Mil a year to satisfy the NFLPA and bring in a deep threat. Game over in the NFC.

Probably don’t even need a deep threat teams will have enough trouble stopping Gronk/Kittle while dealing with CMC

I don’t know if a RB is with 10 mill Vegas should tag him RB pool is deep this year and Dalvin/A.Jones are cut candidates get them for cheaper spend on the trenches

What is going on with Derrick Carr?
LV hasn't given him the greenlight to seek a trade yet which is weird. Unless they want to see how everything shapes up

Does he have a no trade? Maybe he just wants to get cut so he has free rein to determine anything because maybe the market for his current contract is nonexistent. I don’t know.

No. I'm not sure what you're getting at. I'm a Patriots season ticket holder so I follow the team closely. I don't care for Belichick, I think he's a tad overrated because the fact is he can't win without Brady, and I'm not a big fan of Mac Jones either because he's not that good. Doesn't mean I hate the team, I'm just being honest. Otherwise I follow the entire league closely. I want Brady to continue playing because I still think he can play at a high level and with the right team he can win a Super Bowl with a third team, which has never been done before. If he reties, well then I can appreciate he's had an amazing career which has to come to an end at some time.
The Pats aren't just very exciting right now other than a few players such as Judon. Zappe potentially could be something but I agree that Mac doesn't seem to have it. The absolute best we can hope for him is to be like Kirk Cousins.

BB is still very good over all but there has been a deficiency on offense for years, masked by Brady, Gronk, Edelman, and McDaniels.

In retrospect the way we lost Super Bowl 52 and then won Super Bowl 53 probably played into all of Bill's worst impulses and beliefs. Super Bowl 52 the offense loses a crazy high flying shootout where Brady was amazing. Bill isn't into that. Conversely the next year we win it via really tense ball control, a running game, and stringent defense where Brady only made a few key throws. Belichick's freaking dream basically.

So it fed into the idea that he could win with anyone at QB with this formula, forgetting that Brady had to play the most insane clutch game ever in Arrowhead due to the Pats defense being absolutely incapable of stopping Mahomes in the second half of the AFCCG.

So the Championship game reminded me how I just can't stand the bias in the NFL. It's the closest thing to being scripted outside of the WWE.

I don't even like Cinci. They have a history of bringing in bad character players ie I blame Burfort for AB becoming a mental case with that dirty hit. Also Mixon, knocked out a girl unconscious. Refs were outright cheating.

Can't wait to leave the NFL 90% behind.

It's still very risky for the 49ers to roll with Purdy next season. Specifically cause it's an injury to the throwing arm. Who knows if he'll be 100% when the season starts. If he's not, he may play like crap. It can't be said enough, Shanahan is a moron and will probably role with Purdy and Lance. We all know Lance can't make it through a season.

Then he should have thought twice about torpedoing his defense by benching the guy with the highest snap percentage on the team for the season. Bill apparently wasn't into winning that Super Bowl. His sideways personal agenda was more important to him.
