If you have a first round pick there like Carolina, and your quarterback is Sam Darnold, you're a clown show if you don't draft the best QB available. You could always draft another next year. The reward has to be at least 10X greater for a QB than another position like CB. Wasted opportunity to draft a potential franchise altering player without giving up multiple future first round picks to roll the dice.
