The concern is obviously when they pass the new rule tomorrow that increases the goalposts another 5 feet.

I would imagine the NFL is covering their asses for when a much larger goalpost falls down, no?

The "harm" is that on several occasions over the past few years, players literally dunked so hard that it tilted the goalpost and the game had a major delay while they had to fix it.
