Content Post N'Keal Harry (lack of) Progress Report

This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

If Harry is out there more than Byrd in Houston, I'll be pissed. Harry does nothing for the PASS CATCHING role of a WR-desperate team. Byrd is finally getting involved, and Cam likes him. Harry should be the #3 WR, and especially on Run plays, and #4 WR when Edelman returns. Hell, I'd even love to see what Ford brings. I stumped for Harry all last year, and early this year, but its too obvious that he's slow and doesn't have "it".

He was in on 60% of the snaps, not really sure how many snaps he lost out to Myers on.
Meyers was previously riding the pine while Harry was getting those reps. Then Harry got hurt and Meyers stepped up. It’s not necessarily a logical leap.

1. Meyers is our #1 WR and it's not even close. This includes when Jules comes back
2. Glad Meyers kept the most snaps even though Harry came back. Harry is a glorified blocker at this point. 35 snaps and zero catches. Absolute bust. I hope McD goes to another team and we trade NKeal and Sony to him, he would do it

.

Meyers was riding the pine while Edelman was taking the snaps. Edelman is hurt, Harry played 60% of the snaps, perhaps logic isn't a strong point of yours.

No stop spinning facts. Harry was blocking Meyers' snaps. I'm glad Meyers has broken out. Now Harry is wasting snaps and blocking Byrd. Keep Meyers and Byrd as #1 and #2. At this point Harry is a glorified blocker and total waste of space.

Ahhh, so your argument is that Meyers is taking Edelman’s snaps and not Harry’s then? So what’s your reasoning for Meyers not getting snaps, and Harry getting a higher percentage of them, when Edelman was out? How do you square that with Meyers getting more reps now that Edelman is still out, but Harry is back? Furthermore, do you think that Meyers is lining up at the X, Y, or Z? Don’t think too hard on this one, now. While your post history states that there probably isn’t much of a brain to destroy in the first place, I still wouldn’t want you to have an aneurysm.

Not quite following this logic. I like Meyers, I think he is a good player who got screwed over by a certain qb last year, but I also think that qb's develop a relationship with players and completely understand that. I think he and Cam click and he gets open for the short little passes that Cam is allowed to throw. I think that Edelman did not have that same relationship with Cam, perhaps because of his injury he wasn't open enough, but who knows. How many catches did Byrd have last night?

Ah so the undrafted rookie in the toughest offense to learn in the league was screwed over by the GOAT, a 6 time Super Bowl winner, for no particular reason whatsoever when the offense was short on options at WR? This is as opposed to the undrafted rookie making mistakes on option routes and a historically turnover-adverse QB not throwing him the ball because of it. Interesting theory. I’m no longer wondering why you’re having trouble understanding that Meyers has overtaken Harry for reps.

Did McDaniels steal your lunch money when you were a kid?

You used to add to this forum. Kind of sad what you have become now.

lol........arguing over a bunch of hacks

great win, proud of that effort. This guy Harry is a total bust like Dobson. Fire our WR scout. We are one good WR and TE away from contending

The person's name is McDaniels. Basically only draft defense or OLine. Banish McDaniels from all draft evals or draft meetings.

This is painful but just one example of 15 other examples. Justin Jefferson is on pace to put up 1200 yards and 6 TDs in his rookie season after online covid shortened training camp.

Jefferson is a great WR. Looked outstanding tonight. He was picked before the Pats picked, so how does that apply?

Yea not him specifically. Just one of about 15 young players from last year and this year who are having better production than.... someone

Now you’re crying over getting personally attacked. Here’s a general rule to follow in life - if you don’t want to get **** on, don’t try to **** on someone else first. Not that hard. If you address me the same way you would (hopefully) address anyone in real life, with a little respect, I’ll return the favor. And the disturbing thing is that you’re supposedly a grown ass man. Act like one.

As an aside, you should rewatch Edelman's 8 catches for 179 yards against the Seahawks. I saw a lot of trust as Cam made all sorts of throws (dinks/dunks/intermediate/33/49airyds - highest two against an AllPro safety) in tight coverage. It's too bad he's been injured all year, but the silver lining is that the coaching staff finally gave Meyers his shot (even though I've been screaming - to put it lightly - for him to play or to get targets since the 2019 preseason).

As for N'Keal, I feel bad for him. I think he just needs to get fully healthy (hopefully before the end of his 4 years), as he started the first few games on the injury report with a shoulder/ankle with lots of limited practices (Week 1-3). There was also that awful ejectable helmet to helmet on his first catch in Week 2 during the Seahawks game (which probably had residual effects). Then he got healthy but couldn't get time with Cam (Covid), and when they finally got practice time without injury (49ers game), he got the concussion. Just a lot of bad luck and poor timing.

Harry was a monster blocking on running plays. He was nailing LB's and DB's on almost every play that gained yardage. He also came down the line to block at the LOS that sprung Rex on that swing TD pass. The Ravens were pissed but the block was legal block.

So he did not do anything as a receiver ( he was wide open a couple of times but Cam did not have the time to hit him), but his blocking was huge in the Ravens game. You don't have to believe me re-watch the game.
