I know very little about college ball, scouting, etc...
but I was all over Calvin Ridley a couple years ago, I kept getting him in all my mocks and fell in love with him.. the Pats really needed WR help and they had a shot at him. Hard to get upset because that is the year they got Wynn i think, who was an excellent pick.. but I was right on Ridley
I had a huge man crush on AJ Brown before last year's draft, he seemed like a sure bet to be a legitimate NFL talent and he checked off all the boxes that they were looking for when they targeted NKeal, only AJ Brown was a way more polished and NFL ready receiver
Really one of the biggest draft blunders in recent memory, given the dire need there is at WR and TE on this team.. to miss so spectacularly with the Harry pick is a travesty that will set this team back
When armchair QBs like me who don't know much about the college game, and certainly dont understand the Xs and Os depth like other posters do, can spot sure fire NFL talent at WR and our front office cant... something is wildly wrong here
(ps. yes i understand being a GM is more than drafting a WR... but its pretty horrific to miss so spectacularly on a WR in the 1st round, who had a consensus from scouts on being a raw talent.. when there were like 7 other WRs drafted immediately after him, many of which were consensus NFL ready talent and all have produced for their teams... wowzers... that is very deserving of criticism and an explanation)
