Doing quite well? Pull the other one, it's got bells on. Florida's response to CoVID has hovered between disaster and criminal negligence for at least the past 7 months. The only reason they're stabilizing now is the summer travel season is over and all their ongoing negligence is hidden by the simple fact that people aren't moving around as much. That, and many municipal governments are actually showing the glimmer of common sense that seems to be impossible in Tallahassee right now and actually imposing restrictions of their own to mitigate the ongoing crisis.screwed up state that is doing quite well, and Gov hasn't limited people's freedoms.
Florida was the first state to experience massive CoVID related overcrowding in their hospitals and I believe that's still an ongoing problem. They were treating patients in hallways and canceling procedures statewide due to a sheer lack of beds. They also came close to flatlining their oxygen supplies on multiple occasions.
Florida's health infrastructure was a bad joke before CoVID. They weren't ready and it shows badly now, especially in the Miami area which has been LEGENDARILY bad for a long time now due to politicians desperate not to close the beaches.
That hot mess is the hill you're going to die on in terms of "doing quite well?"
