From Wes Bunting at National Football Post:

The National Football Post | NFP Draft Stock Watch: Linemen On The Rise

Some interesting prospects. Vaughn Martin from Western Ontario has already been discussed, and has intriguing size and athleticism. Phil Trautwein, Brandon Walker and Zach Potter all sound like interesting prospects. If the Pats miss out on Jarron Gilbert, Potter might be more taking as a development 3-4 DE prospect.

I'm pretty sure that Dante worked with the Florida OT last month.

Potter intrigues me. He may not have the flashy athleticism of Gilbert, but he certainly has the size, body control, and upside to potentially be as good--plus he can be had at a much better value point. Certainly a guy to keep an eye on.

My sleeper 34 end is Everette Pedescleaux, who I think could start by mid-season for one of the teams making a transition to the 34. YouTube him; he has an extremely impressive ten-minute tape where he consistently destroys blockers one-on-one, and more than holds his own against double-teams. He's 6'6 305 and has a sneaky athleticism that's much better than his measurables. Good kid.

Just watching tape, you have to love the way Trautwein abused the Alabama pass rush in the SEC championship game. He was nasty and efficient, music to my ears.

However in the Ole Miss game, Hardy tore him apart repeatedly.

I think Trautwein has some decent raw material for a good OL coach to work with, two years minimum however.

Sounds like a candidate for the Dante Scarnecchia Big Man Dance Academy.

Zach Potter makes sense for Patriots in round 6-7 area. Pat's typically draft or sign a Cornhusker late. Bo Ruud-Lekevin Smith-Titus Adams-Pat's really liked Stewart Bradley who starts for Eagles. Tall, smart, active E/LB. I watched Potter in at least 5 games last year-he was very productive in each game. A project with upside to contribute.

Potter wouldnt be a bad pick at all late on day 2. Then next year we draft his Defensive Line Mate Ndamokong Suh with one of our two first rounders (yes im predicting a trade of #34 for a late 2 and a #1 next year)

23 for a mid 2nd and a 2010 1st is more likely. I'd love Ndamokong Suh. Potter sounds like an intriguing late round alternative to Gilbert.
