They are a passing team they will not run the ball 30 times a game. That’s just a ridiculous take.

Again, they are going to be dead last in the league in rushing yards. It isn't a ridiculous take. The Pats under Brady were passing teams most year and they were never dead last in rushing yards. At worse they were middle of the pack. Even in 2007, the Pats were 13th in rushing yards.

If you are right that they are a passing team, the argument of who is going to have the bye and home field in the playoffs is irrelevant for the Bucs because no way it will be them. You cannot win consistently with absolutely no running games. There will be games where the passing game will be shut down or at least slowed down and if you cannot run the ball, you are going to lose the game.

They were not good at rushing last year and they won the superbowl. Chiefs are not a good running team and they won the superbowl the year before that. When your entire secondary is a mash unit, and the other team is scoring, you cannot exactly go into pound the ball mode.

They weren't dead last in 2020. And they were a wild card team. But in the playoffs, they were 6th best rushing team (in YPC) out of 14 teams.

And right now they are averaging 56.3 YPC. Last year, they averaged 94.4 YPC. That is almost half the production. Again, it is only three games, but if they don't get much better they are not going to win home field or the Super Bowl.

Damn Bill looked terrible answering questions. Like "I don't want to be here."

Patriots lost both Gronk and Woodhead in the 2012 divisional game to the Texans. Don’t tell me having them healthy wouldn’t have made a difference against the Ravens the week after.
U sure they lost Woody too?

I’m emailing the Bucs medical staff right now.
Ask 'em how many of the injuries were due to the QB's patented hospital ball

Thanks in advance

Once again, the defense has been a mash unit, when you give up points you have to go with what your strength is on offense.

Hospital ball? You do not really know what that is, do you?

Relax dude, Bucs will be fine. Their problem is the secondary not RBs.

They wrote back and told you to eat a ****. You’re welcome for relaying your message.
They also said learn what a hospital ball is. Because a wide open TE who takes 8 steps and then gets hit is not a hospital ball, neither is a player on a slant who jumps and gets hit in the knee.

It’s Jimmy G time!!!

LOL! So you are saying that the Bucs are the only bad defense in the league and no team has given up a lot of points? Stop it. Washington gave up 43 points today and had more than twice as many rushing yards as the Bucs.

It’s not only that…they’re using RBs in the passing game more now. You can’t just look at rushing stats to gauge running back production. Fournette is much better in the passing game from last year, and Bernard is a huge upgrade.

Why are some of you so testy over a Bucs loss?

And in the 1st quarter of that AFCCG, Talib got injured.

We had a great top of the roster by 2012, but not the depth. I think the 2016 team is criminally underrated in these parts, potentially due to the fact that they were down 28-3. The team lost Gronk early in the year and Brady missed 25% of the regular season, yet they still had the talent to get the #1 overall seed and win the whole thing. I think the 2016 team may have been the best Patriot team of all time.

They are both their problems especially if Bernard is out for a long time.

Sorry to speak ill of your Bucs' team on a Patriots message board. The Bucs' homerism on this board is worse than the Pats' homerism ever was.

Arians said he’s fine.

I’m fine with saying the Bucs are weak in some areas. Looking at rushing yardage from running backs is typically one of the most non-predictive indicators of future performance. And, again, the offense is getting production from running backs a lot more in the passing game, which was a weakness last year.

Huh? Is that like Gronk broke his ribs and would be out 4 to 6 weeks?

The running backs in the passing game definitely helps the offensive production, but the Bucs are one dimensional. If they can shut down or at least slow down Brady and the passing game, the Bucs are in trouble. And we saw with the 2007 team that it is possible that a team that starts out extremely hot in the start of the season slows down a bit as the season goes along.
