Probably wouldn't irritate me as much, but I'd still get tired of it. I mean, if Brees had like 600 yards to go in the 2 remaining games, if it was in doubt in some way, then it would be somewhat interesting, but this is basically a foregone conclusion, so why not cover it more sparingly and wait until he eventually gets it to give all the accolades he deserves?

I thought it was annoying as hell. But the reason this is bugging is because all this does is throw into sharp relief how very, very impressive Marino was. To me, they trot out Marino for accolades.
