OK while I think the gender reveal nonsense has gotten way the f out of hand (I mean someone blew up the state of New Hampshire last year) I have to say this was pretty cool.

On a related note, I thought that the pink smoke thing we saw in the 3rd quarter was a gender reveal.... but apparently it was one of those animal rights dipsh*ts.... next they will probably glue themselves to the goalposts....

@Deus Irae Here is a sceen capture of the exact moment that Hill caught the football. This is when the ball hits Hill's hands. Tell me how the ball is behind Crowder.

Hopefully Stafford will get back into a groove; after being repeatedly force fed his Little Cesar's commercial I can confidently state that he won't be able to fall back on an acting career.
Yeah, he did struggle for sure. I think the Bills opposing teams had better be ready to play and hope their QB (and coach ?) plays better.

Another thought from being at the game last night: I really dislike how the football game is slowly second to advertising. I'd guess you only got to see about half of the replays on SoFi Stadium's giant jumbotron. Instead it was ads, ads, ads, and more ads. They didn't even show replays for either of the Bills interceptions and MacKenzie's TD.

No. You are seeing things. Not only was it not thrown behind him, Hill caught it on the right side of Crowder's body which would be slightly in front of him. And it clear he slowed down before the ball was release. Either angle shows that he slowed down a good one or two yards before where the ball went. He had already turned and looked for the ball to be thrown to him a good second before the ball was thrown.

Ok, you're clearly not going to pay attention to what actually happened on the play.

You are leaving out the entire "The receiver slowed down part". In other words, your selective edit removes the critical context.

Not at. It is clear Crowder slowed down BEFORE the ball was released. I have said that a number of times already. He slowed down because he was supposed to catch the ball over the center of the field. If anything, you can argue Allen was too slow to release the ball and Crowder slowed down too much to allow the defender to catch up while he was waiting for Allen to throw the ball. But I would probably argue Crowder slowed his route too soon.

The ball placed fine. It was on the receiver's outside shoulder. Not his inside one. And yes, Crowder slowing down helped Hill get in place to jump the route and intercept the ball. But did jump the route and caught the ball. That is a heads up play. Was it a perfect route. No. But doesn't change the fact that it was a heads up play by the defender.

I don't get why people need this narrative that the only way to stop the Bills is for them to stop themselves. It was great defensive play. Give the guy credit.

And we have nothing more to say about this play. You can believe whatever you want.

Think you're overthinking it, my dude. No one's selling our team short here, just acknowledging a really good bills team last year seemingly is still strong, maybe better.

Only one game, they impressed, but no one else has played so yeah.... it's a long season. Lots to be written.

Yep. Besides we should be talking up Buffalo if for no other reason than simply to jinx their success! I still cant get past that horrendous ‘anyone still worried about the bills ‘ thread last year. I say we go the other way this year

You'd better look again.

He slowed down because the ball was thrown behind him. That ball needed to be a leading pass. It's plain to see. The first angle shows all the open space, and where it is.

It was a bad throw but it wasn't behind him.

I don't think it was a bad throw. Crowder slowed down. You can blame Crowder about the route because he should have kept running instead of turning for the ball which slowed him down. But either way, you have to give Hill credit for a heads up play. Again, most defenders would have played the receiver and not jumped the route on that play.

Again, eight or nine times out of ten, that would have been an incomplete pass broken up by the defender. That is why you have to give credit to the defender.

It was behind him. The receiver had to slow down in order to try making the play because the ball was thrown behind.

Just saw now in "condensed" version 40 min the Buffalo game...
BILLS looks allready on fire...
Great win
Only 1 great td from Kupp but not so much for the Champions

Home game too for BUF with so many of their fans on the road as expected

I don't care if you think I'm justified in having an opinion. When Buffalo has the division sealed up by Thanksgiving you'll be happy they beat their AFC opponents, like Baltimore, Pittsburgh and KC, etc. because those are the teams the Patriots will be battling for a wild card spot. Buffalo just embarrassed the Super Bowl champions. They've got it all... good coaching, uber-talented roster, and mostly importantly, a superstar quarterback. They're winning 13 games anyway, which the Patriots are not, so I'm looking bigger picture at their only chance left, which is through the wild card. All Patriots fans will get there eventually. Including One-If-By-Sea... what are going to do when the division is mathematically over? Root for a wild card competitor to beat Buffalo?
there you go again... trying to justify your opinions to someone (me) who doesn't care what a fan of another team (you) thinks...

Pink hats are going to pink hat, i suppose

great play by the defense? Debatable. Fumbles are more on the ball carrier.

So Tampa got a lot of help in their come back vs the Rams last year...got it

Any true Patriots fans want the Bills to lose no matter what. @crawhammer and @amfootball are incredibly happy this morning, as demonstrated by their posts in the Bucs thread.

I never said otherwise. All I said about that is they didn't waste them, they turned them into scores. What those 2 are saying are besides the point. If the Pats are out of it and the Bills and Rams are still in the end i will root for the Bills. If Brady is still going ill root for him. And please stop derailing the threads again.

You hate the Rams that much?

I rooted for the Bills over KC last year too. I don't like the Rams really but back when mcvay came on the scene I got tired of all the ball washing especially in the run up to the superbowl vs the Pats. I wanted the Bengals in the SB last year.

Crowder didn’t slow down because of the throw. It was a planned slow down to attack the middle of the field as the Rams were playing quarters and protecting the boundaries.

Careful...if Bucs/Bills meet in the SB I'm pretty sure you'd root for the Bills

Even if it was a planned slow down, the ball was still thrown behind. Again, just go take a look at the first angle from the video Rob posted. That ball needed to be thrown out front, away from coverage.

And if it was supposed to be a full on zone sit down in that spot, then that's a complete misread by Allen, who would then have thrown the ball to a spot that would be covered, on top of it being a bad throw.
