NFL Trade Deadline Rumors, including Bourne and Agholar

I'm sorry, did Miami really just trade a first round pick in 2023 for half of one season of an OLB? And people are applauding that move?
It would be criminally stupid if they didn’t already have the framework of a long-term contract in place. They probably do.

Well, the assumption is that Chubb is going to reach an extension with the Dolphins. I'm sure Miami would not have traded for him otherwise.

That's the thing about our offensive skill players....we just have too many "B+" players. We need some elite players who dictate coverages on their own.

I mean Agholor is pretty good...Parker too...Myers is fantastic...Bourne is pretty good, but in the dog house for some reason...and Thorton is the future...and we still have Henry and Jonnu at TE too....

We need a true elite #1 receiver to open up this offense, IMO.
I definitely agree with your post overall. However, I don’t think Bourne is in the doghouse anymore. His snap share since like week 3 is pretty reasonable. We just have a lot of targets and jakobi is the only one who consistently gets them (besides rham I guess).

And first dibs at signing him in 2023. There’s value to that. But I hear you.

Why could they not just sign him to that deal this offseason and keep the first rounder?

I understand there is value in having first negotiating rights but like, that value is not equal to a first round pick.

Yes and we will be seeing him twice a year against our vaunted Offensive Tackles. I'm sure Mac Jones is not worried a bit.

Actually, we'll be seeing him one time. This year.

They'll have to pay him a mega deal for any more games beyond that.

So the Dolphins effectively traded Lance and got Waddle, Tyreek, and Chubb in return LMAO...
Well, and they’re paying somewhere in the ballpark of $50M per year extra.

There’s no guarantee that the Broncos wouldn’t have traded him today to another team, who would then extend him and take him off the market for next year. Again, not saying I disagree that the compensation is a ton, but that’s the thought process.

What the hell is Atlanta doing? Pitts, London, and Ridley would’ve been an elite offense with a competent coach

The Feed had it wrong great Trade for both Teams.
are you kidding me? its a terrible trade for detroit. its almost as bad as the Texans trading away Hopkins for a bag of peanut shells and a UA sweatshirt from the Cardinals... they gave a really good TE to a division rival for what? a few swapped draft picks?

Wow that is some good business...

Of course they had the #3 overall pick which is an extremely valuable pick. Its not as if its #25 pick turned into that haul, but good business overall they've transformed their offense with Waddle and Hill.
