But Uncle Dugg, Schooler, heavy Pettus AND Hawkins all kinda Suck; and Peppers is Still >>>> all of them.

I hope that, in time - the sooner the better - Richie Grant finds what he had his first 3 years in the league and settles into a role next to Woodson, who needs all the help he can get...

Yeah.. Peppers is REALLY lighting it up for Pittsburgh..

Let's see.

2 Games and 53 total snaps. YEAH.

Seriously, Cap. You're the worst evaluator on the board. Yes. Worse than Patsfan2.

IMHO, we need a TRUE, FAST FS to take over for McCourtey.
Others may feel differently, but that's what I see.

The thing that made McCourty truly special was his ability to read and adjust the defense to how the offense was lined up.
The Pats may have that guy in Woodson. If that is the case, getting a guy back there who he can learn from even MORE would be ideal. Budda Baker could be that guy.. But they also need to draft a faster FS type.

Put it this way, maybe this will help some people out.

Patriots get: Trey Hendrickson (who is currently injured, by the way) +~10 million in salary the rest of the season. He is a free agent after the season. You're getting him for, best-case scenario, 12 games, assuming he misses no time. Realistically, assuming he plays well, that's what, 8, 9 sacks? Average run defender.

Bengals get: Keion White, who has been pretty bad, but is still developing, cheap, and will be allowed to do whatever he wants on that defense, and is under contract for two more years. You're also getting a pick likely in the top-125 next season.

So you're making the Bengals better long-term, getting them out of cap hell, and giving them two young, cheap players.

In return, you're getting a 2nd-tier pass rusher for a little more than half a season, and hamstringing your cap this year and next year, since his contract involves a void year for 2026, a 6.5 million dead cap hit. And you're losing Keion White. Who comes in if/when Hendrickson has to miss a couple of games?

It's way too much to give up for a team that's still building a program.

This has been the issue all year. There's a massive gulf between those who think it's only about winning this year and those who believe it's about building a contender long term. Those who only care about what they do tomorrow want them to trade ther picks and spend every dime of $$$ right now. Those who want to build a long term contender want them to develop their young players, only make trades that will benefit them for multiple seasons, and make sure they have plenty of cap room for the 26' free agency. Fortunately Vrabel is intent on building a long term contender, and doesn't listen to those who only care about this season.

Guess who said this on March 21st 2025:

"He's an upgrade over Bourne: I'm an upgrade over the overrated Bourne. Somebody cut that guy already. "

For everyone who couldn't guess who sad this it was none other than ......... Patsfan2, the guy who is now crapping on them for getting rid of Kendrick Bourne. Shocking, I know.

Dude. Just stop with the Schooler is getting more snaps BS.

Schooler took 2 Defensive snaps against Buffalo. That's hs TOTAL snaps on Defense for the year.

Dugger has 131 Defensive Snaps on the year.

So, no. Schooler isn't getting more snaps over him. FFS.

The fact you're regurgitating the Garbage from PatsFan2 without actually looking it up yourself is very bad for you.

Archstanton543 is back!!!!

This is not true. We do not have a coverage free safety. This completely misses the mark.
Most free safeties don't cover one on one. They provide help over the top and play centerfield. Strong safeties traditionally come down into the box and cover TE's.

I think a pro bowl caliber safety would fix a lot of problems very quickly.
I would also say a sideline to sideline linebacker.

Really WR is the least of our concerns at the moment.
unless you are looking to replace Pop or Boutte with Brown or Olave.
I am no longer seeing this as a pressing need and refuse to pay a premium for a WR.

However I think the scheme and coaching maybe getting guys more open than sheer talent.

So my view of a WR trade is quite honestly Fluid.

The teams biggest need is a pass rusher opposite of Landry. Yes I’d love AJ Brown but that’s a pipe dream. White has been a disappointment, Chassion is fine but he’d be better as a situational rusher rather than an every down player.

I wouldn't be mad if they made a move for a receiver but to me that is pretty far down the list of needs. Ideally we are trying to add a pass rusher, safety, and TE. We should be trying that rotational/depth guys in positions we are thin.

RB safety and sideline to sideline linebacker I feel are the biggest needs.
My guess is Vrabel wants more pass rush which means white in on the block.
My question is who fits that mold that won’t cost a lot.

Mark Andrews Ravens would be nice... better Blocker than Both our guys.
