Maybe not but due to the past some teams wont work with the Pats, some have openly stated this in the past. I think it continues.
Who has openly stated it?

Let's look who actually got traded.

Jackobi Meyers for a 4th and 6th. Price is way too high for a guy who would have trouble starting here.
Rashid Shaheed for a 4th and 5th, same thing.
Qunnien Williams for a 1st and 2nd - would be a rotational guy
Ahmad Gardner - 2 first round picks. I'm good not doing a Trent Richardson trade.

@Bill Lee nailed it. Seller's market, those prices are actually insane for the return.

No offense, hobgoblin, but your guardrails seem more like guidelines to me.

And why would they, when they were able to highway-robbery what they did from the rest of the league.

It's the Jete, they will screw up all 3 first round picks they got in return (They traded 2 former first round picks today), but what they got in return was some good GM'ing, theoretically.

And people say they're not a smart organization.

Meyers was the worst trade of all of them to me. 4th and 6th for a meh dude for 8 games? Huh?

Yup.Stick with the plan.
I think they look at the team and figure even if they traded for an edge rusher or a safety it wouldn't be enough to put the team over the top. The FO is not over estimating how good the team is.

Like Tarzan Mack Hollins.

Their fans need to take a deep breath and understand what they are doing. Not only are they getting primo draft capital, they are getting tons of cap space for next offseason, so they can build through the draft and free agency. They can even move around the draft board with all of those picks, lots of flexibility.

If I was a fan, I’d be pretty upset, but you have to think about it more deeply. The rest of 2025 will be a disaster, but they weren’t going anywhere anyway. They can add even more draft capital by trading other pieces before the deadline. Maybe trick someone into a 2nd or several picks for Hall.

Teams can turn around pretty fast. Land that QB, fill holes in free agency and the draft.
All good points but the Jets will find a way to choose poorly on most of the picks, well at least the QB pick.

How does that help the Patriots in their playoff run this year?
Call my a cynic, but are we mostly helping RKK's bottom line by staying way, way, way under the cap?

During the dynasty we bragged about spending at least close to the cap, regularly. We are still way under, right?

I am hoping we can at least bilk some capped-out teams of some talent next offseason.

He wouldn't be meh here: and played in MaDaniels Offense and had success.

Colts ridiculous overpay for Gardner
Jets took them to the cleaners
Jets are an interesting situation. They got GREAT value and now an extra 3 ones and a two.

But also made themselves MUCH worse for now.

Hard to imagine Glenn going anywhere soon given they just traded two of their best players away and a third (Hall) doesn’t want to be there.

Oh of course I do. I would never touch your mother. Or maybe she needs to be slapped for raising a dumbass. This is a conundrum to me.

This being a non sequitur likely explains your confusion. Beyond that, you might consider seeking help for these violent fantasies involving anonymous folks you encounter online.
