And I merely remember that the Patriots had difficulties with those teams last year. Meanwhile, you're talking those teams down based upon personnel, while ignoring the fact that the Patriots have lost several good players.

Last year is last year. NE lost some good players, but we picked a few good ones up too. I’m not talking those teams down as much as I am talking NE up.

Getting another LB stud would be good because Hightower can't stay on the field.

He’s played in 75% of his regular season games. It’s a misnomer to say that he “can’t stay on the field.” Really last year was the only year he missed a significant amount of games.

The schedule defensively is pretty soft. Only the Jaguars & Vikings really have great man coverage units on that list. That’s something that definitely stands out to me (not saying it’s easy).

Matt Patricia may have something interesting cooked up in Detroit for the Pats in week-3.

Might go to Pats/Packers. Great match-up, plus I love the night games.

Still could use another stud at LB. I think rivers could be a player but coming back from injury. I don't know if he can play standing up. Don't know if he played that in college.

Pretty much every team does that.

You went after the personnel of the Texans and Jaguars. Of course you're talking down those teams. Just let it go, for crying out loud.

You’re the one who said that NE lost good players. I am merely pointing out they picked up some good players too. They lost Solder, Amendola, Butler and Cooks, and in exchange they get Matthews, Patterson, McCourty, Shelton, Clayborne, Edelman and Hightower. I call that a net win from last year.

I went after one player on each team. Not exactly the whole 53 man roster. I am just confident in this team as a whole.

Why, because you’re right? Lol.

Watson coming off a torn ACL is a big concern for them, and Bortles is Bortles.

Once Watson gets acclimated to playing again, he’ll be much more dangerous.

TBH my first thought was similar in so far as since they have to face Houston better it be before Watson is fully back up to speed and used to regular season action, he has it in him to be a truly dangerous player. Then it occurred to me the Pats are not always known for fast starts and Houston's D would not have a chance to get banged up yet. Likewise Jax has a mean D and the Pats O-line will still be a work in progress at that point.

I really would like to see a reversal of this Miami here early and New England there in December. Seems like they get the weather advantage every year. I get that the league is doing Ross a solid since Pats fans will fill that 3rd world stadium for them in December after their fans have quit on them but that doesn't negate the advantage the dollyfins get out of that thought process every year.

I said it in the context of you knocking the Texans personnel and making that "full strength claim". "Bortles sucks" isn't particularly brilliant analysis when Bortles gave you all you could handle in last year's playoffs.

Edelman was on the team a year ago. Hightower was on the team a year ago. The Texans and Jaguars had players on IR, too.

How nice for you.

Why because you’re “right?” Lol.

No, because you're clowning yourself. I didn't claim the Patriots couldn't win. I didn't claim they'd be underdogs. I simply said that the season started off tough, which it does, with a pair of teams that have played the Patriots offense tough recently. That should not have been in any way controversial or debatable.

Houston and Jax are relatively “tough” compared to other teams on our schedule, but NE shouldn’t have a problem against them at home. I’m not saying they are going to shut them out or anything but they should win comfortably. Last year’s team is last year’s team and what happened then has no bearing on 2018.

Wha?

Since 2013 his playing-time percentages have been 76.7 (2014), 54.2 (2015), 67.9 (2016) and 22.3 (2017) over the past four years.

Yes hes played in 75% of the games but it is completely reasonable to say he has durability concerns.

Can we keep this a thread about the schedules, and their leaks?

Thanks.

I guess we should be thankful the Pats are not playing KC on SNF before playing the Colts on TNF.
Looking forward to all the 4PM games though.

Can't tell if it's good or bad that the Chiefs aren't in the first four games. 2014 and 2017 were disasters but they went to the super bowl. Won't mention 2008 (oops).
