It’s been a long time since we didn’t face Denver.

Good I need a break! The last couple were fun but the playoff losses just about killed me.

And early season vanilla defensive schema especially in the secondary as you mentioned will drive many wild with the usual exclamations of "why aren't we blitzing 11 every down!?"

The Madden players will want to Engage 8.

Considering how Bill tends to play mobile QBs, I think it will still be a struggle. The usual zone concepts will be employed that should leave Watson’s targets wide open. There will probably be quite a few conversions on third and long.

I'm afraid you're right. I am just hoping the timing of the passes on those third and long broken plays is just a mite off.

I think I am going to try and get to the Fins game. I'll be back in Connecticut in the fall so it will be my first opportunity in two years

Can anyone give me some advice for trying to make it to a game this year? My plan is to visit a friend in Cambridge and see it with him. We both have some disposable income but aren't rich, and I have no idea how ticket prices work. Do they vary based on quality of opponent, time of kickoff, how long you wait to buy? Obviously it would be crazy to see Brady-Rodgers under the lights, but I have a feeling it would be a thousand dollar night for nosebleeds.

12-4, with a SB WIN!

resale definetly varies based on opponets and time.

Yeah, I checked the prices today and it's as bad as I thought it might be. It's so much cheaper to see a game at just about any other NFL stadium...over $300 for a terrible seat just so you can say you were there.

And yet I still feel like I have to do it just once before Tom dies (in football terms).

Have you seen a Pats game since Brady became QB? If not, definitely go. If so, that would be a monumental waste of good money. At least IMO. But it’s your money. As J.G. Wentworth would say, use it when (how) you need (want) it.

I saw arguably the most boring game played at Gillette in the most boring season of the Brady era: 2009 vs Panthers, the Randy Moss "dog faker" game. Plus, I was only 14 at the time.

Yeah, then you should go. Mind you I said that as someone that's coming to Boston this year and is planning on going to a game at Gillette.

Because you have no idea which teams will be relevant come November/December. All it takes are injuries to the wrong players and teams turn from playoff bound to a top 10 draft slot.

Anything that looks like a marquee matchup at the end of April can become the toilet bowl pretty quickly.
I can agree with that. However, you'd think the NFL would tailor their key match ups with teams that are consistently good giving you a better chance of having good prime time games later in the season. That's all I'm saying.

I think they'll come down.

I don't know. Raiders @ NE in 2014 was a pretty dull game, though there was a bit of excitement at the very end as NE almost blew it.

Lets just hope we get off to a good start and our Def does a 360 from how they started last year. I know its not how you start but how you finish but that was ridiculous.

I understand where you are coming from but just 6 months ago people were angry to see Steelers vs Ravens in prime time instead of Rams vs Eagles.

How many teams apart from the Pats are there really to deliver year-by-year?

Can’t wait for draft day. I think things are getting interesting
