NFL might be planning to release "a summary" of PSI findings

Our team will win no matter what the "PSI" findings are. Just bring them on!

Maybe the scientific community will take it as a personal insult and beat the drums to tell the public how flawed 345 Park Ave is acting.

Though it seems they have but perhaps they can dial it up to get national attention
This time around NFL will face a lot of additional scepticism and scrutiny from media, experts, and average Joe's who brushed up on their 8th grade science. And they know it.And it's inconvenient for them.

NYJFL will get some stooge like NdGT (or, if he's not available, Bill Nye or Bozo) to endorse their findings, giving a smoke screen of 'scientific validity'.

Why didn't the Patriots just do the testing themselves?
They could've hired an independent auditor (but actually reputable, unlike the NFL's scientists)
They could've had said person witness the ball prep process and be there for the Pat's own pre-game measurements.

They could've marked each ball somehow (which I think can be legal as you're allowed to scuff up the balls).
And then at half time, whatever balls were taken out of play (players can just keep one or two balls), they could've measured it and recorded everything (time of measurement, indoor temperature, outdoor temperature, etc)

And then they could've simply released the raw data.

But of course Bobby doesn't want to actually prove Goodell wrong, so this simple thing would never happen.
And now we are stuck with the NFL only going to release highly biased summaries (which we already know they are capable of flat out lieing in their summaries)

I am PRAYING for 2 things:

1) The Patriots beat Denver on Sunday

and

2) The NFL is stupid enough to actually release their "findings" (no matter what they are) during the 2 week runup to the SB

PLEASE GOD make this happen!!!!!!

Another leak from the NFL headquarters during preparation for the AFC championship game. Goodell and his henchman will try and do whatever it takes to keep the pats out of the super bowl. Integrity..........

I'll release the data,
Unless the league royally boned it up, footballs inflated in warm areas, that are used for prolong amounts of time in cold, wet areas, will temporarily show a loss of pressure.

It's scientific fact.

If you can take a ball, and accurately(within .5 psi) predict what the pressure will be after setting a couple of climate conditions, then you don't need to randomly test games. You can just go to one of the testing facilities and ****ing test it. STORY OVER.

Their findings will be that all balls' pressure fell within the expected range when considering the Ideal Gas Law. No specific numbers, just "they did what we expected them to do."

I agree, this time they do so at their own peril because it won't be about the Patriots so much as it will be about science. If they try to release findings that completely abuse science again the only support they will get is from those who don't believe in science (and haters), and there is no hope for those people anyways.

This can't be good, noway the numbers are legit. They will probably use numbers from games where they measured the balls outside after they inflated them.

A year after deflate-gate ballooned, science shows shame of it all
"It's pretty much an open-and-shut case, but somehow [commissioner Roger] Goodell never understood it, and still doesn't to this day."

What Goodell undoubtedly understands is that for regular people, science is confusing. And since special interests have politicized it on certain subjects, a lot of Americans are quick to reject it or doubt it, no matter how absurd doing so is. In this case, the problem with science is it required time, study and patience. Deflate-gate was about winning the news cycle.

I am clearly in the minority here, but I cant believe the NFL at this point would release anything about PSI that would make it another story. Goodell has been in hiding all season on every front trying to regain some level of composure, and then in the biggest week of the year hes going to double down against a team possibly going for back to back championships?

If that is the direction this goes, I am literally without words. That would be without a doubt, the dumbest decision his office has made, and that is saying something. Last year was a total cluster and almost cost the man his job. Roger dodger is all about self preservation, no way he risks putting himself in dangers way again, or do anything that could effect the focus of the game.

Many will disagree and given the history, with good reason. I just cant think of a PR company in the world that would recommend this as a strategy. It isnt like last year where they had no idea how to respond, and totally muddled it from the beginning. They have had 12 months to come up with a plan of attack to put an end to this. The league cant allow back to back superbowls to be about a ludicrous side stories. No company, not even one run by Roger Dodger is that dumb.

I hope.

There's always that 1 guy in the back saying;

"We can go dumber"

Well, we should all probably care because the NFL is obviously going to try and use this as a distraction for the team once again, seeing as how they're choosing to release it in between the AFCCG and the SB.

You're really telling me that they couldn't have waited another couple of weeks? C'mon. This is the sabotage job that we've all been patiently waiting for--part deux. It's truly unbelievable.

If the Pats make it past the refs and Broncos in mile high, they absolutely would love to stir the pot again on deflategate for the SB.. that generated so much air time leading up to the biggest broadcast in the world, that broke records with 43 million or so viewing... they'll do it all over again if they know it will drive ratings

Obviously if they released a summary they would fudge the results. This is the NFL we are talking about. Believing otherwise is like thinking the Wells Report was going to exonerate us.

I just can't believe we gave up our first round pick because of that ********...
If the Pats win the SB, it would be awesome if they traded for the 31st pick. Getting the Lombardi handed to them by Goodell (again) and then forcing him to announce "the world champion New England Patriots select..." on draft day would be priceless.

Although Belichick likes numbers in the draft this is the year to move up because the roster is so strong that very few Rookies will make this team, and they use the criteria of who could they beat out when evaluating picks and pick ups. However the only way I see them getting up to the low 30s is by trading Garrapolo and I don't know if. Belichick would do that.
