I thought they were the two best looking pass rushers in pre-season before they got hurt. Not a lot of data, but good value for each and wonder what BB might project?

I did too. They looked really good.

Mike Wallace? You know how complicated this O is to pick up. And Wallace loves to just run in a straight line..he would be a awful fit here IMO

Ok so RB James White ruunning go routes didn't bother you??? I dissagree and believe Wallace would thrive here this Offense is not opposed to throwing it deep...they just don't have the correct personel which Mike Wallace would be. If we want to keep Edelman and Gronk health get a threat or two who can help them. This current Offense is crap minus either.

WR's Marvin Jones and Martavis Bryant did not run complicated routes the majority of their receptions came from blowing the Top off the Defenses. Which ponders the question when are we ever going to get WR's like that?

Either $8M/year, or a full year suspension for an inconsistent burner. Our front office is full of idiots.

Throwing the deep ball is not brady's strength. It would be foolish to invest a lot of money in a WR like wallace.

Brady was actually throwing the deep ball very well at the beginning of 2015. That tailed off when injuries took hold of the WR's and OL and he had to get rid of the ball quickly to evade pressure. The Pats are obviously in the hunt for a WR that can threaten that part of the field. That's why they had interest in guys like Jones and Benjamin and are now sniffing around Washington.

Marvin Jones caught only 5 balls that went for more than 25 yards last season...

All of your concerns are a reaction to a rash of injuries... to the starters, then the backups, until the team had to rely on the backups to the backups. James White running those routes was not a problem, but a symptom of the problem of having too many injuries... many more than the average team accrues over the course of a typical season.

Wallace and his ilk are not the answer, due to his poor fit in the Patriots scheme, and the seemingly exorbitant price the team would have to pay for a one-trick pony.

The day the Patriots make moves like this on a routine basis will probably be the day they are picking in the top 15 each year in the NFL draft.

Nate Washington could be a nice pickup. He might have trouble making the teams though if he can't play special teams.

Correct...

Let's apply the same thinking to the Denver Broncos... Imagine if they played the Pats in Gillette and were missing Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, CJ Anderson, their LT, and then late in the game Owen Daniels left the game... How do you think Osweiler or Manning would've done with a backup LT and a cast of Jordan Norwood, Andre Caldwell, Ronnie Hillman and Virgil Green?

Same thing can be applied to any team... Green Bay isn't so formidable down their LT with a crew of Davante Adams, James Jones, James Starks and Andrew Quarless...

Only 1 WR played more than 35 snaps on ST last year, Amendola and that was mostly due to him being a returner.

Good point. I don't think Dobson plays much special teams anyways. So I'd think Washington could replace Dobson.

Ya Captain Doom & Gloom they are really blowing money on this one.

Your schtick is played out. You don't even try to be even-handed, you just ***** and moan.

Captain Stone is a troll. He's never celebrated a win, doesn't like even their best players, and only posts to sh.t on the team., He's a bad joke repeating the same tired old garbage with every post.

Boy was I off on what I understood the contract to be. Clearly his signing was not related to Hicks.

Well, he might be something more than camp fodder. Just gotta see.

Maybe he's secretly Mazz?

Could be. Whoever he is he's a miserable POS who contributes nothing other than his misery to this board. It's a tired old act.
